However, in order to provide this function, outdoor spaces, including parks and schoolyards, must be designed within the context of the prevailing urban climate and projected future climates. The Heat Score combines socio-economic information that captures exposure, sensitivity and adaptivity of local communities to heat with environmental data related to surface and air temperatures of urban space. -

NSW Department of Education Leadership & High Performance The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) in 2020 For NSW public schools, the table below shows the 2020 Approved RAM funding. The 2020 Approved RAM funding represents the total 2020 funding for the four equity loadings and the three base allocation loadings, a total of seven components. The equity loadings are socio-economic background, Aboriginal background, English language proficiency and low level adjustment for disability. The base loadings are location, professional learning and per capita. Fact sheet – English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) education If your child speaks a language other than English as their first language, learning English is essential for success at school and further education, training and employment. The New South Wales Department of Education provides English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support to develop English language competence so your child can fully participate in schooling and independently pursue further education and training. The department provides EAL/D support in primary schools, high schools, Intensive English Centres (IECs) and the Intensive English High School (IEHS). The availability of EAL/D support within primary schools and high schools will vary between schools, and will depend on the number of EAL/D students enrolled, and resources available. How many schools and teachers have participated this program? How many this year? 4. Can the Department provide this broken down for each year of the program? 5. Can the Department provide a list of all the schools and the number of teacher from each school that have benefited from this program? 6. What was the budgeted value of this program in 2014-15, and across the forwards? 7. When does the funding for this program cease? Have any teachers of schools that were awarded a scholarship had that award withdrawn as a result of these cuts? 8. Has the funding being redirected? If so, where? 9. Was an evaluation of the program conducted before funding was ceased? What did it find? 10. If not – Why not? What was the basis of this cut? 11.
