Wir möchten zuerst denjenigen danken, welche bereits 2004 unser Erstlingswerk gele- sen haben und uns motiviert haben auch 2005 einen Fan Guide zu gestalten. Die Tatsa- che, dass die 2005er Ausgabe noch weit mehr Leser erreichte als die 2004er Ausgabe ließ als Konsequenz nur zu: Auch 2006 wird es einen Fan Guide geben! Viele praktische Informationen am Ende des Fan Guide wurden für dieses Jahr überar- beitet und die Statistiken um das Rennergebnis 2005 erweitert. Wie schon in den Vor- jahren, gibt es auch in dieser Auflage wieder eine umfangreiche Starterliste sowie einen Blick in die Le Mans Historie. Hierfür haben wir uns den Vater der charmanten, ehemali- gen LMES Piloten Vanina Ickx, den sechsfachen Le Mans Sieger Jacky Ickx ausge- schaut. Die Zeit der LMP900 und LMP675 Fahrzeuge ist abgelaufen und mit dem AUDI R10 betritt erstmals ein werksseitig entwickelter LMP1 die Bühne von Le Mans. Und wir erleben erstmals den Einsatz eines konsequent vorbereiteten Diesel Motors - im AUDI R10. Le Mans 2006 also eine klare Sache? Dies bleibt abzuwarten. Vom Speed her scheinen die Pescarolo auf einer einzelnen Runde einen minimalen Vorteil zu haben. Ob dieser jedoch über die Distanz von 24h gehalten werden kann wird sich am 24. Wochenende des Jahres klären. Wir erleben aber auch eine LMP2 Kategorie die das laufen gelernt hat und sowohl an Qualität und Quanität zugelegt hat. -

PR Document 2020 Japanese Super Formula Championship Series Media Information August 27 2020 1 Super Formula : Then and Now In the 1950s, the Fédération Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) launched the Drivers’ Championship to find the world’s fastest formula car drivers the purest form of racing machine. That ethos was passed on to all FIA national member organizations.Top-level formula motor racing has been held in Japan in various forms since 1973, when Formula 2000 was first launched. The competition evolved into Formula Two in 1978 and then Formula 3000 in 1987. Japan Race Promotion, Inc. (JRP) was established in 1995 and continued carrying the competition torch in 1996 under the name of Formula Nippon. In 2013, the name of the competition was changed again to Japanese Championship Super Formula and a bold plan was implemented to upgrade the race cars and lift the profile of the competition with the clear aim of spreading the appeal of Super Formula from Japan to other parts of Asia. Another hope was to turn the series into a third great open-wheel racing competition to go along with Formula One and IndyCar. The competition’s name was changed again in 2016 to Japanese Super Formula Championship. In 2017, BS Fuji began broadcasting live Super Formula races, giving many motorsport fans the chance to watch championship races on free-to-air television. In the early days, formula racing in Japan was led by top drivers such as Kunimitsu Takahashi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Satoru Nakajima, who later competed on the global stage in Formula One. -

Round 7 : October 29 (Saturday) – October 30 (Sunday) The 2016 Japanese SUPER FORMULA Championship Series Final Round and 15th JAF GRAND PRIX SUZUKA Japan Race Promotion Inc. (President: Akira Kurashita, Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) today announced details of “ The 2016 Japanese SUPER FORMULA Championship Series Final Round and 15th JAF GRAND PRIX SUZUKA” scheduled to take place on October 29-30 at the SUZUKA Circuit International Racing Course (length = 5.807km) in Mie Prefecture, Japan. The 2016 Japanese SUPER FORMULA Championship Series is the only internationally accredited driver championship in Asia, run over seven rounds and five circuits across Japan. A total of 11 teams (entrants) and 19 drivers (cars) from Japan and overseas* are competing to win this year’s series. * 12 drivers from Japan and seven from five other countries: UK (2), India (1), Germany (1), Brazil (1) and Belgium (2) The last round of the season will also be run as the JAF GRAND PRIX, under the banner “The 2016 Japanese SUPER FORMULA Championship Series Final Round and 15th JAF GRAND PRIX SUZUKA.” A two-race format will be used, with Race 1 run over 19 laps of the Suzuka Circuit (length = 5.807km) for a total distance of 110.333km and Race 2 run over 35 laps of the same course for a total distance of 203.245km. As with previous rounds, qualifying will be based on the knock-out format, but the first qualifying session (Q1) will determine grid positions for Race 1 and three qualifying sessions (Q1-Q3) will decide the starting grid for Race 2. -
