Looking at the casework of this instrument, with its half octagonal towers and Gothic style pipe shades, one would hardly suspect that the base originated with the former instrument. The previous organ was typical of its time with a wood base supporting a façade of speaking and mute pipes. The new woodwork, with its vertical emphasis, provides a focal point at the front of the nave. In addition to reusing the existing woodwork, several stops from the previous instrument were retained and incorporated in the new organ, included are the Bourdon and Dulciana in the Great, the Stopped Diapason and Vox Humana in the Swell, and the Doppel Flute in the Antiphonal division. The Antiphonal division is mounted above the entry doors on the rear wall of the nave. The Festival has hooded brushed copper resonators.
