Aplikasi Manajemen Perkantoran B APLIKASI MANAJEMEN PERKANTORAN B BAB 1 – PENGENALAN SPREADSHEET PEMBAHASAN • PENGENALAN SPREADSHEET • JENIS-JENIS SPREADSHEET • PENGENALAN MICROSOFT EXCEL • PENGENALAN CALC PENGENALAN SPREADSHEET • Spreadsheet adalah lembaran kertas yang menunjukkan akuntansi atau data lain dalam baris dan kolom. spreadsheet juga merupakan aplikasi komputer program yang simulates fisik spreadsheet oleh menangkap, menampilkan, dan memanipulasi data yang disusun dalam baris dan kolom. • Spreadsheet adalah salah satu yang paling populer digunakan pada komputer pribadi. • Pengolah Angka atau spreadsheet merupakan suatu tabel nilai-nilai yang disusun dalam baris dan kolom. Masing-masing nilai dapat memiliki suatu hubungan yang telah terdefinisi dengan nilai yang lainnya. Jika salah satu nilai dirubah, maka nilai yang lain juga perlu dirubah. • Aplikasi spreadsheet merupakan program komputer yang membiarkan kita untuk membuat dan memanipulasi lembar kerja secara elektronik. • Fungsi Spreadsheet adalah untuk membuat tabel, membuat grafik, menghitung rumus statistik, laporan keuangan, penjualan, pembelian, daftar gaji, dan lain sebagainya. JENIS-JENIS SPREADSHEET • 1. MS Excel (Microsoft Office), • 2. Lotus 1-2-3 (Lotus SmartSuite), • 3. Quatro Pro (WordPerfect Office), • 4. Applixware Spreadsheet (Applixware), • 5. StarCalc (StarOffice), • 6. KSpread (KOffice), • 7. Gnumeric (Gnome Office), • 8. Siag (Siag Office). JENIS-JENIS SPREADSHEET • Selain itu ada beberapa program spreadsheet yang berdiri sendiri atau tidak masuk ke dalam kelompok suatu aplikasi perkantoran, misalnya : • 1. abs, • 2. Xxl, • 3. Abacus, • 4. Maxwell’s Lemur, • 5. GNU Oleo, sc (spreadsheet calculator) MICROSOFT EXCEL • Microsoft Excel atau Microsoft Office Excel adalah sebuah program aplikasi lembar kerja spreadsheet yang dibuat dan didistribusikan oleh Microsoft Corporation untuk sistem operasi Microsoft Windows dan Mac OS. Aplikasi ini memiliki fitur kalkulasi dan pembuatan grafik yang, dengan menggunakan strategi marketing Microsoft yang agresif, menjadikan Microsoft Excel sebagai salah satu program komputer yang populer digunakan di dalam komputer mikro hingga saat ini. Bahkan, saat ini program ini merupakan program spreadsheet paling banyak digunakan oleh banyak pihak, baik di platform PC berbasis Windows maupun platform Macintosh berbasis Mac OS, semenjak versi 5.0 diterbitkan pada tahun 1993. Aplikasi ini merupakan bagian dari Microsoft Office System, dan versi terakhir adalah versi Microsoft Office Excel 2016 yang diintegrasikan di dalam paket Microsoft Office System 2016. MICROSOFT EXCEL LOTUS 1-2-3 • Lotus 1-2-3, merupakan aplikasi pengolah angka yang dikeluarkan oleh IBM. Aplikasi yang termasuk dalam Lotus SmartSuite adalah Lotus Word Pro, Lotus 1-2-3, Lotus Freelance Graphics, Lotus Approach, Lotus Organizer, Lotus FastSite,dan Lotus SmartCenter. Aplikasi ini HANYA dapat di oprasikan di system operasi Windows. Lotus juga dapat mempertukarkan dokumen dengan aplikasi lain seperti Excel. LOTUS 1-2-3 QUATRO PRO (WORDPERFECT OFFICE) • Quattro Pro adalah program spreadsheet yang dikembangkan oleh Borland dan sekarang dijual oleh Corel, paling sering sebagai bagian dari Corel WordPerfect Office suite. • Secara historis, Pro Quattro digunakan perintah keyboard dekat dengan Lotus 1-2-3. Kantor pertama APPLIX yang suite, diperkenalkan pada tahun 1986, disebut Alis, dan dipasarkan dengan item promosi bertema Alice in Wonderland. • Alis yang tersedia untuk workstation unix dari Digital Equipment Corporation, Sun Microsystems, dan lain-lain. Dua lisensi situs yang dijual untuk sistem operasi VMS Digital, satu untuk Exxon dan satu ke broker di New York City. • Selain menyediakan lingkungan office suite grafis dengan sejumlah modul termasuk fungsi pengolah kata, sangat maju untuk waktu, Alis berbeda karena bahasa scripting yang sangat kuat yang disebut “ELF”, yang mampu, misalnya, membaca data spreadsheet , melakukan perhitungan di atasnya, dan penggabungan hasil ke dalam dokumen teks. APPLIXWARE SPREADSHEET (APPLIXWARE) STARCALC (STAROFFICE) • StarOffice Calc, merupakan aplikasi pengolah angka (spreadsheet) yang bersifat multiplatfom. Kelebihan dari StarOffice Calc adalah kemampuanya untuk mengklarifikasi data yang ditempakan di lembaran kerja dan membantu pengguna untuk membuat grafik dari data tersebut. Selain itu adalah kemampuannya mengkonversi data dengan aplikasi pengolah angka lain. STARCALC (STAROFFICE) KSPREAD • Kspread, merupakan aplikasi pengolah angka (spreadsheet) yang bersifat open source dan multiplatform. KSPREAD GNUMERIC • Gnumeric, adalah aplikasi pengolah angka yang merupakan keluarga dari GNOME Office. • Gnumeric bersifat open source dan multiplatform. Gnumeric memiliki tampilan GUI yang user friendly di mana jendela Gnumeric dilengkapi dengan menu- menu dan tombol- tombol toolbar. SIAG (SIAG OFFICE) • Siag merupakan singkatan dari Scheme In A Grid, suatu spreadsheet berbasis X-window di lingkungan Unix. Program ini menggunakan Scheme (suatu dialek Lisp) yang dua-duanya digunakan untuk membuat ekspresi dan sebagai bahasa ekstensi, yang memberikan kemudahan untuk membuat fungsi-fungsi baru. Tidak diperlukan pengetahuan tentang Scheme untuk menggunakan Siag, ekspresi dapat dimasukkan dalam sintaks spreadsheet tradisional seperti biasa. Program ini aslinya dibuat akibat kefrustrasian si pembuat (Ulric Eriksson) karena melihat kenyataan bahwa sebagian besar spreadsheet yang bagus tidak gratis di Linux. SEJARAH MICROSOFT EXCEL • Pada tahun 1982, Microsoft membuat sebuah program spreadsheet yang disebut dengan Multiplan yang dikenal dengan sebutan WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Got) • Dan disaat yang bersamaan muncul pula Lotus 1-2-3 • Aplikasi ini merupakan aplikasi yang menggunakan kolom dan baris dalam pengolahan sekelompok data yang menghasilkan informasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pada saat itu SEJARAH MICROSOFT EXCEL • Munculnya aplikasi ini merupakan generasi awal dalam perkembangan Excel dan tahap ini dikenal juga dengan istilah Excel1 • Dengan tujuan perkembangan program spreadsheet, seperti yang dikatakan oleh Doug Klunder, “do everything 1-2-3 does and do it better” • “Melakukan apa yang dilakukan oleh 1-2-3 dan lebih baik lagi” TAMPILAN LOTUS 1-2-3 UNDER DOS TAMPILAN LOTUS 1-2-3 UNDER WINDOWS OLEH IBM SEJARAH MICROSOFT EXCEL • Versi pertama Excel dirilis untuk Macintosh pada tahun 1985 • Versi Windows-nya menyusul (dinomori versi 2.0) pada November 1987 • Lotus ternyata terlambat turun ke pasar program spreadsheet untuk Windows, dan pada tahun tersebut, Lotus 1-2-3 masih berbasis MS- DOS. SEJARAH MICROSOFT EXCEL • Pada tahun 1988, Excel pun mulai menggeser 1-2-3 dalam pangsa pasar program spreadsheet dan menjadikan Microsoft sebagai salah satu perusahaan pengembang aplikasi perangkat lunak untuk komputer pribadi yang andal • Pada tahun 1988 dapat dikategorikan dengan Excel 2 SEJARAH MICROSOFT EXCEL • Pada awal-awal peluncurannya, Excel menjadi sasaran tuntutan perusahaan lainnya yang bergerak dalam bidang industri finansial yang telah menjual sebuah perangkat lunak yang juga memiliki nama Excel. • Akhirnya, Microsoft pun mengakhiri tuntutan tersebut dengan kekalahan dan Microsoft harus mengubah nama Excel menjadi "Microsoft Excel" dalam semua rilis pers dan dokumen Microsoft. A Linux White Paper Preface Anyone who has followed the progress of Linux the past few years has noted the surprising gains that Linux has made in server operating system market share and “mindshare” against the entrenched opposition, notably Microsoft® Windows NT®, Novell Netware and various varieties of UNIX®. A complete Linux network, of course, would require Linux clients (networked PCs or terminals) as well. Therefore, an important question is, “Is Linux a viable desktop operating system for general business use?” or must we continue to be confined to the Windows world for our non-server needs? And what about laptop support, or a Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) user or home user, who does not need a network server? Is there a place for Linux in a stand-alone environment? So writing this paper not only gave me the excuse to join in on the action, but it also provides you with the perspective of a Linux “newbie” who is attempting to find the applications and utilities needed to create a working system. The conventional wisdom so far is that Linux is not “ready for prime time” as anything but a network operating system. We shall test this notion to see if I can find commercial, shareware and/or freeware programs for Linux to replace the existing applications I currently use with Windows.
