Jonathan Jordan has been named the new Columbia City Elementary School principal for 2018-2019, as the school district reorganizes the administrative ranks for the new school year. While Jordan was the only one to be newly named as prin- cipal for the upcoming school year, the district has named sev- eral new assistant principals at Jordan various sites around the county. Jordan was principal at Pathways Academy last year, the county’s alternative school, serving as principal for just one year. “We are excited about Jonathan Jordan and the leadership he will bring from Pathways Academy and Columbia High School to Columbia City Elementary and the positive leadership he will

She thought about continuing to coach at Fort White but Richards ultimately decided it would be too difficult with her daughter at another school. Instead, she’ll serve as an assistant under her brother and Columbia head coach Todd Carter. His daughter and Richards’ niece, Tiara, will be a senior on the team. Richards says Carter will coach his final season and she plans to take over for him in 2020.
