PEER HEALTH EXCHANGE RECEIVES THE CLUB’S 2014 ADVANCEMENT AWARD

Boston, MA: Peer Health Exchange, a nonprofit working in public high schools, was honored with The Boston Club’s 2014 Advancement Award at The Boston Club’s Community Salute on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The Advancement Award is granted annually to an organization that fosters and develops young women for meaningful engagement and leadership roles in public, civic and community service activities which further the advancement of women. Peer Health Exchange was recognized for its work in developing the leadership of 450 college student volunteers who teach Peer Health Exchange’s health curriculum to 3,800 high school students across the Greater Boston Area, empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions. As part of this recognition, Peer Health Exchange received a $10,000 grant.

Genevieve Mack, Peer Health Exchange Boston Executive Director, accepted the award on the organization’s behalf. “Each and every day, teens in our community are faced with important decisions about their bodies and their futures,” she said. “We are honored to be able provide teens with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices. Thank you for this award and for partnering with Peer Health Exchange by supporting this important work.”
