Founded in 1877, the outstanding curriculum includes almost 20 A-Level subjects and GCSE core courses of which 90% of students receive A*-C grades. There are additional programmes in pre-IB, IB (International Baccalaureate) and Pre- Med too. Among Plymouth College’s famous alumni are comedian and scriptwriter Dawn French and 2012 & 2016 Olympic bronze medallist in diving, Tom Daley. FACILITIES The expansive 17-acre campus is proud of its modern facilities. There’s a swim centre with pool and diving platform, an indoor archery court, gymnasium and more. It’s best known for its elite swimming and Academic Courses: Art, Biology, Chemistry, diving programmes and runs a Modern Pentathlon and Fencing Academy which sees Classic Civilisation, Drama, Design athletes compete in world, European and national competitions. With the best natural and Technology, Economics, English, harbours in Europe in close proximity, students can learn how to race sail dinghies.
