The same can be said about our proud and dedicated service personnel. On0 Sunday,'' 18* June$ *the" Tigers- will1 honour"3 women5/ in football&3 and4 women4 611-*&34 in the services by wearing a specially designed pink camouflage jumper. The day of home games at Allinsure Park, against ANU in the Women’s match and Tuggeranong Hawks in Firsts and Seconds, will also include defence force personnel addressing playing groups and tossing the coin for matches. Captain Alexandra McDonald is the first Australian Defence Force Female Officer to graduate to Artillery. Captain Alexandra will commence the day with an address to our Women’s team. Corporal Jeff Langdon, an Army PTI with a long connection to Australian Defence Force football will speak to our Second Grade. Our own Rising Stars coach, Warrant Officer Chris Clifton, will address First Grade and give an insight into his little known background away from football. Warrant Officer Clifton will outline the values and sacrifice that the men and women take on as a defence force member; how the values and sacrifices of the defence forces relate to a football team; and what a “team” looks like in battle - whether that be in the field of battle or on a football field. The day will also feature a Women’s Luncheon at the Tigers Club featuring guest speaker Bec Goddard - a premiership-winning coach of the Adelaide Crows in the inaugural AFL Women’s season.
