3/13/2020 UJ Study Abroad to GSU (Sep 2016) Hoisted by Dr. Benson (CEHD) students from UJ were on campus from Sep 12 – 23, 2016.

UJ Site Visit to GSU (Sep 2016) Dr. Angina Parekh, Deputy Vice Chancellor - Academic for the University of Johannesburg, visited GSU on Sep 1, 2016 and met with various departments across campus including the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology (AYSPS), the Center for Evaluation & Research (CEHD), Early Childhood & Elementary Education (CEHD), and International Partnerships & Agreements (OII). GSU attendees included Gwendolyn Benson, Gholnescar Muhammad, Susan Ogletree, Volkan Topalli, Sally Wallace, Brian Williams, and Kike Ehigiator.

UJ Study Abroad to GSU (Aug 2016) GSU’s College of Education & Human Development hosted a faculty led Study Abroad Program from the University of Johannesburg. The student program lasted from Aug 8 – 30, 2016. Gwendolyn Benson and Susan Ogletree are the contacts for this program.

GSU Delegation Visit to UJ (Sep 2016 – Cancelled due to student protests) The planned GSU Delegation to South Africa from September 24 - October 4, 2016 was cancelled due to University protests in South Africa.

GSU Delegation Visit to UJ (Apr 2014) From April 7 - 11, a GSU Delegation team visited the University of Johannesburg, University of Pretoria, University of Witwatersrand, University of Cape Town and the University of Western Cape. Delegation discussion topics included possible study abroad programs, collaboration around topics of mega cities and community partnerships in areas of social development. GSU attendees included Risa Palm, Jun Liu, Mary Beth Walker, MaryAnn Romski, Sally Wallace, Elizabeth Beck and Jacobus Boers.
