We will arrive to the hotel, which is very close to the border with Argentina, to spend the night and cross the next day to the neighboring country. DAY 7 Chile Chico – Esquel This stage of the trip will be the longest, until we reach Esquel. Early in the morning, we will cross the border from Chile to Argentina and travel to Esquel along the famous Ruta 40, escorted by its endless pampas. We will cross the plateau between Perito Moreno and Río Mayo, through the valleys that were the trace of the old tehuelches. We will make stops, at each person’s pleasure, to get to know the zone and to take pictures. We will also make some strategic stops, to get to know the Cueva de las Manos, if time permits it. Afternoon arrival at Esquel, where we will settle in the hotel. Time to rest, visit the town and have dinner. DAY 8 Esquel – Bariloche The well-known city of San Carlos de Bariloche awaits us. It will be an easy riding day. In a few kilometers, we will arrive to this city, on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, in the National Park of the same name. If the plans permits it, we can stop to eat at El Bolsón, a magical town in Patagonia. We will have all afternoon to enjoy, at our leisure, the city and its gastronomy. DAY 9 Bariloche - Free day Bariloche offers a wide range of possibilities to enjoy its surroundings. During this rest day, we thought of mixing gastronomy and trekking. We will visit the Small Circuit, walk to its viewpoints and to finish (if the day allows it) a typical meal, as is the curanto or another local specialty. We will also visit a local brewery. In the afternoon, we will have free time, in case someone wants to purchase something or visit some other place.
