Car Wash Raises Funds to Fight Cancer Volunteer to Help at the St. Bede 10th Annual Parish Picnic Sunday, September 20, 2015. The Picnic Committee has begun planning this year’s picnic. The picnic would not be possible without the many volunteers who help to plan, prepare for, and run the picnic. Volunteers enjoy working together and meeting other pa- rishioner volunteers. Religious Education Dear Parishioners, This week we held our Vacation Bible School planning meeting. Vacation Bible School theme = SET SAIL with the HOLY TRINITY will take place June 22 - 26 (9:30 a.m. - Noon) and the cost is $35.00 per child. Registration forms are available on-line and in the Parish Office & the Office of Religious Education. Each day, the children will hear the adventures of St. Patrick from their primary catechist and learn something new about the Holy Trinity. The creative grade-appropriate lessons are based on Sacred Scripture and Catholic Tradition: Lesson 1 - God The Father, Lesson 2 - Jesus, The Son of God, Lesson 3 - God, The Holy Spirit, Lesson Ms. Carole Obrokta 4 - The Holy Trinity, Lesson 5 - Vocation. Every lesson includes a Bible Memory Verse, which compliments the theme of the day. We acknowledge children are full of energy and love games. We put the VACATION part of Vacation Bible School in by provid- ing fun activities and games after each lesson. The children will also enjoy delicious theme snacks! 6th graders (next year's Confirmation Class) - You will be attending VBS the same as the rest of the kids except you will have the opportunity to earn hours (5 hour maximum) toward your Confirmation Service Requirement by providing help as needed (leading songs, actors in the plays, leading dance segments, etc…) We are in need of large cardboard boxes (have you purchased an appliance lately?) to build our ship and castle.
