One And Only Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17

Two of the hardest things for a coach to do during an Immanuel session are 1) keeping in mind the goal is intimacy and 2) allowing God to lead. The progression of inner healing models through the years has been moving toward Christ centered and Christ lead. In our flesh, we are tempted to go back to coach centered where we lean on our own understanding and on the coach’s skills. When we do that, we unintentionally interfere with intimacy and often get in the way of God’s plans. Time after time, I observe coaches adding and mixing to what they think is the Immanuel Approach. Adding to Immanuel always makes it complicated with head knowledge and huge manuals of what to do next, replacing the simplicity of encountering Christ. By faith, we believe Immanuel is able, willing and “off the charts” better at coaching than the best of coaches. So back up, turn the receiver to Him and facilitate them being together. Healing will come in the context of intimacy.
