PRESIDENTS REPORT TO THE 2011 UANA CONGRESS – CCCAN I am pleased to present to the UANA Congress a report of CCCAN activities for the period 2007-2011. The current CCCAN Executive Officers who assumed Office on January 1, 2011 were elected at the 2010 CCCAN Congress held during the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. They are: President: Eng. Errol Clarke (BAR) Vice President: Algernon Cargill (BAH) Vice President: Lilliam Jacobs de Solano (DOM) Vice President: Wualter Soto (CRC) Treasurer: Mariana Lopez (PAN) Secretary: John Eyre (JAM) The following Officers led CCCAN from January 1, 2007 to December 31st, 2010: President: Eng. Orban Mendoza (PUR) Vice President: Eng. Errol Clarke (BAR) Vice President: Lilliam Jacobs de Solano (DOM) Vice President: Ismael Gonzalez (GUA) Treasurer: Eng.William Cody (PUR) Secretary: John Eyre (JAM) The next election of Officers will be conducted at the CCCAN Congress scheduled for the 2014 CAC Games (Veracruz, Mexico). COMPETITIONS CCCAN sanctioned the following Championships during the 2007-2011 cycle: 2011 Central American and Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CCCAN XXVII) held in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, Puerto Rico (The Aquatics competition was held in the city of Mayaguez). 2010 Central America and Mexico Swimming Championship (CAMEX XIII) held in Nueva Guatemala, Guatemala. This competition had to be rescheduled form July to November due to the eruption of the Pacaya volcano near Guatemala City. 2010 Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CISC IIXX) was hosted by Cuba in Havana City. For the first time, CISC XXII included competitions in all five disciplines. 2009 Central American and Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CCCAN XXVI) was held in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. CCCAN XXXVI was scheduled to be held in Mexico, but a SARS outbreak in the region forced CCCAN to move the Championship to Barquisimeto. 2008 Central America and Mexico Swimming Championship (CAMEX XII) held in San Jose, Costa Rica. 2008 Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CISC IXX) was held in Kingston, Jamaica. 2012 Events: The following events are scheduled for 2012: CAMEX – El Salvador CISC – Aruba 2013 Events: The following events are scheduled for 2013: CCCAN - Guatemala2012 Events: The following events are scheduled for 2012: 2012 Events: The following events are scheduled for 2012: UANA CONFERENCE CCCAN congratulates UANA for hosting the 2010 UANA Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eng. Errol Clarke, then a CCCAN VP, participated as a presenter. CCCAN Officers who attended included William Cody and John Eyre.
