Living room: Sofa, fire place (Cheminée), big flat screen TV, (cable-TV), DVD-player/recorder, XBOX, Surround-Sound-Stereo, additional stereo with CD-player, telephone, WLAN, Laptop.
Entrance: 2 wardrobes, cabinet holding, cleaning stuff.
Bathroom: Mirrored cabinet, lavatory, bathtub, hair dryer (3), bath towels.
2nd bathroom: Mirrored cabinet, shower, lavatory, bath towels.
Master bedroom: King size bed with bed stands, cupboard, chest of drawers, bed side lamps, clock radio, Internet-radio, DAB+, CD-Player, 3 chairs.
Double bedroom: 2 single beds, cupboard, Internet-radio and sofa
Single bedroom: Single bed, bed side table, Internet radio, cupboard, 2 chairs, PC with internet connection (free).
Sauna: Use of the common sauna for the house (the sauna is downstairs, CHF 17.-- per person extra).
Ski room: Use of the ski room at the entrance to the house.

Description: At the train station take a taxi or the bus (direction „Winkelmatten“) to the bus stop "Wiestiboden". At the bus stop follow the small walkway in direction of the house „Silence“. This way leads you between the houses to the chalet Strahlhorn (appx. 2 minutes).
Garbage: The garbage bags can be deposited in the containers at the bus stops „Luchre“ or „Winkelmatten“ or any other garbage container. You must use the official orange garbage bags.

Arriving: By car: At Täsch you will have to park your car and change to the shuttle train to Zermatt. The trains depart every 20 minutes till app. 22.20 hours (night trains on Friday and Saturday).
There are also several taxi services available at Täsch (24-H). . By train: The train will take you directly to Zermatt.
Zermatt is car free, only small electro cars and taxis are allowed. At the train station in Zermatt you take a taxi or the (electro-) bus to the bus stop “Wiestiboden. From this bus stop it’s a two minutes walk to the chalet Strahlhorn.
Doctor: There are several doctors in Zermatt. You will find a list of emergency numbers by the telephone.
Balcony: The south balcony offers an overwhelming view direct to the Matterhorn. You will find chairs, a lawn seat and a table on the balcony.
Cable cars: The cable car to the Klein Matterhorn is in walking distance (10 minutes). Alternatively you can hop on the bus at „Wiestiboden“ bus station (3 stops), the train to the Gornergrat and the underground cable car to „Sunnegga“ you
reach best by bus (walking: app. 15-20 minutes). The bus is free of charge (included in the ski ticket).
Bus: The bus time table is put up at the entrance to the house and in the apartment.
Check-In: Check-in time is 3 o’clock pm on the day of arrival. You will have 3 (three) keys to the apartment.
Check-Out: Check-out is at 09.30 am on the day of your departure. Please be sure to leave all 3 keys to the apartment. Drop one key, after locking the apartment in the closed section of the mail box at the entrance to the house. Thank you.
Fire place: Before lighting the fire turn both black levers to the position „AUF“ (open), otherwise you will have all the smoke in the apartment. Close the glass panel for safety reasons.
Dining-Out: Zermatt has many excellent Restaurants to dine out. You fill find a small folder with cards from good Restaurants, but it’s not complete. Make a reservation well in advance!
DVD: A DVD-Recorder and over 100 films are at your disposal.
Shopping: A bakery and two restaurants are 2 minutes away at the bus station „Winkelmatten“. To the village it takes about 10-15 minutes. A big grocery is in the shopping mall opposite the train station (COOP) and another one a little bit further up by the ice field (Migros).
TV: The TV is cable connected (over 50 channels.
House rules: The house rules are put up at the entrance are to be obeyed. Nighttime peace is between 10.00 pm and 08.00 am. Pets are not allowed.

PC: In the single bedroom you find a pc with high speed internet connection which you can use free of charge. If you bring your own laptop, LAN (cable) and W-Lan is available. The SSID (name of the WLAN) an the access code are noted on the back of keyboard of the PC in the single room. A Laptop is also available (same code).
Smoking: Only on the balcony.
Sauna: If you want to use the sauna, you have to inform the house-keeper in apartment no 5. He will give you the key to the sauna. CHF 17. — per persons have to paid directly to him.
Sledging: From the cable car station „Furi“ you can sledge down to „Winkelmatten“. This is a very easy run and can also be walked. Another run starts at the station “Rotenboden (train to the Gornergrat). This is an expert run and is much fun. Close to “Rotenboden” is the igloo hotel it’s nice to have a drink there.
Skis, ski-boots: Skis and ski boots have to be deposited at the entrance to the house in the ski-room. Do not walk up the stairs with ski boots, it’s slippery. You can leave your skis also at the cable car stations.
Skiing down: From Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn you can ski very close to the chalet Strahlhorn. Go direction „Furi“ and follow the slope to Zermatt along the street on the right side of the valley.
Surround-sound: The apartment is equipped with Bose Surround-Sound.

XBOX: The XBOX is below the TV on the left side. It has a live connection for online gaming but you need to use your own XBOX live account
Washing machine: The washing machine is in the basement and can be used when it is empty. You will need coins to operate it. Do not use the machine after 8 pm. There is also a tumble dryer.
