The Chairperson, Mr. Paul Kainge, opened the meeting and welcomed delegates. He emphasized that this will be an informal discussion of scientific issues and that all delegates are expected to freely express their scientific views so that issues can be resolved and the best possible advice be forwarded to the Commission. 2 Adoption of agenda and meeting arrangements SC adopted the provisional agenda with only minor revisions.
