We shared a mutual interest in Elvis and I got to see him perform as an Elvis about 10 years ago at my husbands SH reunion. It was great to see him again and talk about old times. He had a great smile and was such a sweet person. Everyone loved him. Enjoy those streets of gold my friend! BARBARA BRANDES PETERS, APRIL 12, 2020 Rest in Peace Dennis. I still remember you and Robert playing through the fence when we lived on Rittenhouse and he lived on Majorca. That was back in the 50's. Such a sweet, cute kid. Prayers for your bamily. LINDA GROCE BOZE, APRIL 8, 2020 I have known Dennis since elementary school. He was "the best". I haven't talked to him in many years but as I sit here and read about him going home to be with The Lord, I have tears running down my face. It just goes to show that although it's been 50 years, he had a special place in my heart filled with many fun memories. One that I really remember is the games we played at school when we were young, Dennis was on crutches but he was always the first person chosen if the game included running because he was the fastest one in the class. My prayers of peace that pass understanding go to the family. I know he will be greatly missed. PAMELA MARTIN CROCKER, APRIL 6, 2020 Went to Sam Houston with him and one thing I will always remember is that contagious smile! Another good Northsider gone too soon. God's blessings to his family. DENISE WOODYARD, APRIL 5, 2020 What a great friend that’s gone too soon. Always a smile and a great competitor. I could not tell the story of my childhood without you in it. You not only never met a stranger, you left them with a smile. You were kind, caring and a true friend. Carla, I pray for you and your family in this time of great loss. God’s peace and blessings be upon you and your family. JOY HEINZKE , APRIL 3, 2020 Shoe, I will never forget when we worked at Youngblood's Fried Chicken together in High School. You were the funniest fellow there, I look back and remember the many times we somehow got stuck folding chicken wings for the fryers. Even though we haven't seen each other in a long while I will always remember your Cosby imitations and your love for Basketball. Rest in Peace Brother, you will be missed. JOHN BARRETT, APRIL 3, 2020 I was a childhood friend of Dennis’. His kindness, consideration and humor were just a few of his endearing qualities. God’s blessings on Dennis’ family. Just saying his name still makes me smile. NANCY PLASTER COOK, APRIL 3, 2020 I so love my baby brother and will miss him tremendously. He was my funny Elvis for my 50th birthday. What a wonderful surprise. His sense of humor was still very strong even in his illness. Carla is a saint for taking such good care of him. He is in heaven with our mother and dear Jesus. And whole again. AVA COURTNEY, MARCH 31, 2020
