Government Defeat in Lords on Nuclear Safeguards Bill Tuesday 20/03/2018 On 20/03/2018 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Nuclear Safeguards Bill: Paving amendment to require the government to produce and to present before parliament reports on nuclear safeguards and future arrangements with Euratom at the end of four successive reporting periods which will follow the passing of the Act. This was defeat number 13 in the parliamentary session.
