Jesus Christ is Born to Sanitize the Unsanitized

The year 2020 made us step back and introspect the purpose of sanitization. There were crores of people who were not accessed to any sanitary products before 2020, but now things turned up to a new dynamic shape of longing for health and hygiene. COVID 19 pandemic pushed us to sanitize us to disinfect the infected. Most of the popular religions use the word ‘sanitize’ to explain the process of purity from sin. In general, Sanitize also denotes About the Cover the process of making anything less offensive by eliminating Ten million migrant labourers were forced the objectionable elements or in short, constructing the to travel back to their homes, mainly on scene which is acceptable by all, by removing the evil and foot, when the lockdown was announced thereby good is established. Sanitizers became an integral claiming to combat COVID 19 in India! The component of our lives. Let us look at the 2020 Christmas lockdown by the government, which was like from the point of sanitization. a magician pulls out a rabbit out of the hat, adversely affected the poor and vulnerable The biblical understanding of the word Sanitization denotes groups of people such as migrant labourers. physical sanitization and spiritual sanitization. As of the Word of God, which was manifested in various forms like nameless victims in Rama (Matthew 2: 18), water, blood, and fire. But in the New Testament, the same the migrant labourers’ lamentation, weeping Word of God incarnated as Jesus Christ (St. John 1:14), and mourning also go down in the history as Creator God has sent his/her only begotten son to sanitize another inhuman story of the excessive use of this world which is exposed to various evil practices. In the parallel between the plight of the migrant the present pandemic, we might use chemical sanitizer to labourers and the flight of Joseph and Mary protect ourselves from the virus but we need to remember with the Baby Jesus to Egypt to escape the that Jesus Christ is born to sanitize us. As believers, we wrath of King Herod. need to follow Christ by practising communion with God, neighbours and God’s creation.
