Thank you to all of our sponsors! s 2 SERVICE CLUB LEADERS CONFERENCE WELCOME

Welcome to the 58th Annual Service Club Leaders Conference: Staying Relevant Through Innovation and Change

It is always great to come together for a time of retreat and knowledge exchange with the leaders of the service club organizations. Collectively, our group reflects a rich history of bringing individuals together to serve in their communities, enrich the lives of people at their point of need, and deliver significant projects and programs at the local and international level. While we are all proud of our past, we know we stand at a point in time where we must aggressively seek to stay relevant through innovation and change.

In a world of swift technological advancements, societal changes, workplace evolution, disruptions, and pop-up nonprofits, organizations like ours need to continue to demonstrate our value and strength. How do we remain vibrant and attractive to new generations? How do we ensure we continue to serve, deliver strong networks of like-minded individuals and bring about social change? Those are questions we plan to address during the 2017 SCLC.

We are excited about this program, which has been designed to help us stay relevant through innovation and change. We thank all of our speakers for generously sharing their time, talents and insights with our group. We also thank the city of Cincinnati for their dedication to providing SCLC a wonderful backdrop for our event and enriching experiences for our participants. In return, you will want to consider Cincinnati as a venue for one of your future conventions. We couldn’t deliver this event without our special host hotel, The Westin Cincinnati. They along with all our sponsors bring you Staying Relevant Through Innovation and Change. Please be sure to greet every one of them over the next few days.

Thanks for coming. In service,

Elizabeth M. Lucas Allison Summers Executive Director & CEO Executive Director Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. Zonta International & Zonta International Foundation

Dear Friends, On behalf of the Queen City, I am excited to welcome you to the 2017 Service Club Leaders Conference held here this November.

Cincinnati is a city that is dedicated to serving others—a city that embraces a call for help and comes together across bridges, regions and backgrounds to create a community we are proud to call home. As a city that values visionary leaders, empowering conversations and well-deserved celebrations, I am sure that Cincinnati will be the perfect backdrop for a truly unforgettable conference.

Sincerely,

John Cranley Mayor of Cincinnati
