Brief Summary BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT 1. Introduction of the project Shri Chandra Pal Singh S/o Shri Ganga Singh has proposed for River Bed Mining Project of Bajri, Production Capacity 1.31 MTPA from Gair Mumkin Nadi & Nallah Area-252.48 ha, Tehsil-Digod & Pipalda, District: Kota & Tehsil Anta, District: Baran (Rajasthan). Letter of Intent (LOI) for grant of mining lease for Bajri over an area of 252.48 ha has been issued by the Superintending Mining Engineer, Directorate of Mines & Geology, Government of Rajasthan vide letter no. Directorate/P2 (A.3)/Kota/Bajri/2012/3007 dated 24.12.2013. 2. Screening Category As per EIA Notification dated 14 th Sep, 2006 amended as on date, the project falls under S. No ‘1’ (Mining of Minerals), Project or Activity ‘1(a) - (3)’, Category “A”. 3. Brief Description of Project a. Location Villages: Haripura, Bijavta, Naravta, Khedli, Nonera, Kolana, Pipalda Kalan, Dhibri, Bankiya, Barana, Bislai, Dhansuri, Bhunen, Kherula, Khedli Parasram, Khedli Tawran, Bagawda, Khyavda, Barod, Patonda, Raipura, Baldada, Palaytha, Bijora. Tehsil: Pipalda, Digod & Anta District: Kota & Baran State: Rajasthan 4. Environmental Setting S. Requirements of the project a. Water Requirement: 30 KLD which will be required for (spraying, plantation and drinking) sourced from nearby villages. b. Man Power Requirement: 291 (Direct Employment) 6. Cost Details a. Total project cost : Rs 1 Crores/- b. Cost for Environmental Protection Measures o Capital cost – Rs. 4 Lacs/- o Recurring Cost per annum : Rs. 2.5 Lacs per annum/- 7. Mining Details Mining will be done for 3 metre thick strip at a time in the direction of river, to avoid ponding effect and maintaining the uniform surface. No Mining will be done below water level and 45 m from any bridge, culvert, or any water works setup, if any etc. Mining will proceed along the river in the direction from downstream to upstream in each block. Every mining block will have clearly identified approach road/ entry points into the rivers-nalla and similarly the exit points. No mining will be carried out during monsoon season. 8. Environment Management Plan There is no major source of emissions except emission from combustion of fuels from the Transportation Vehicles and Material Handling. Besides this, to control the emissions further regular preventive maintenance of Equipment / Transportation Vehicles will be carried out on contractual basis. Plantation will be carried out along the approach road, river banks & at all strategic points in the vicinity area. No waste water will be generated from the mining activities as the project involves collection of Bajri. Septic tanks and soak pits will be provided for the disposal of waste water generated from office toilets. Mining operations will not involve any drilling / blasting, so generation of noise will be minimal.
