That divine Spirit fills the life of Jesus P between the Lord God and human beings. Christ; and his followers receive the same Spirit as The Spirit or breath of God had hovered over they go forth to proclaim his death and resurrection the waters of the sea in the beginning of the from the dead. In his letters, St. Paul makes it clear A creation account. Now that same breath of that the Holy Spirit is a power that lives within God is blown into the lump of clay that will Christians and gives them life. But the Spirit is more S become a human person. “In the divine image than a transforming power. The Spirit is a person; he created them, male and female he created the third person of the Trinity that is God. The them.” Spirit is more than an impersonal energy or force. T We live in God, and God in us! The book of Exodus narrates the O powerful story of deliverance. God raises up “For all who are led by the spirit of God are the charismatic leader Moses to effect the children of God. For you did not receive a spirit of escape of the captive Israelites from slavery slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a R’ in Egypt. At God’s command Moses stretches spirit of adoption. When we cry, Abba! Father!, it is out his hand over the sea and the Lord sends that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that a great wind (the breath of the Lord). “The we are children of God….” (Romans 8. 14-16) S Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land; The power of the Spirit will remain dormant and the waters were divided.” (Exodus 14. 21) unless we freely call upon the Lord to use us for His The people of Israel are able to escape as the purpose. We need to step out in faith. All Christian waters are divided, and then come crashing parents can pray over their children in blessing as P down on the Egyptian army. they leave for school in the morning or return afterwards. All loved ones can pray for ill family A The prophet Samuel is instructed by God members by placing loving hands on them and saying to anoint the kings of Israel, and the Spirit of ‘Come Holy Spirit’. Sprinkle your loved ones with the Lord is given to them. “Then Samuel took holy water and trace the cross on their foreheads. G the horn of oil, and anointed him in the Call on the Spirit for wisdom when you are presence of his brothers; and the Spirit of the struggling with an important decision, or fighting an E Lord came mightily upon David from that day illness. You have been given the Spirit of God in holy forward.” (1 Samuel 16. 13) Baptism!
