The School participants were young researchers, earlier career leaders, bachelor, master and PhD students, diplomats, public activists, entrepreneurs from Brazil, China, India, Russia, South Africa and other countries. Eighty participants had been chosen by the Contest for BRICS Young Leaders among several hundred applicants.
