Brilliant follow-up to Day of ChaosBy O.R.Judge Dredd has some of the most epic, long form storytelling in comics--probably THE most epic long form storytelling. Day of Chaos (having built over 30 years from the classics Block Mania and Apocalypse War, through Doomsday for Dredd and Doomsday for Mega City One, and really being the culmination of storylines that have cast a shadow over or have touched on countless Dredd stories over the last 30+ years) was amazing, dark, and intense, and completely changed Mega City One, the Dredd comics, and the Dredd character going forward. Day of Chaos the Fourth Faction and Endgame tell the story of the day of chaos (the Sov's revenge for Dredd actions in Apocalypse War)--well worth reading for new fans or longtime fans--while Fallout contains several stories detailing the immediate aftermath. Fallout features several very talented artists, colorists and writers, including John Wagner (the co-creator of Dredd and author of many of the best, most epic Dredd stories).

The commitment and support of my supervisors, Maarit Piipponen and Markku Salmela, made the completion of this work a reality. I also wish to thank Päivi Pahta, Pekka Tammi, Nigel Mapp, Matti Hyvärinen, Arja Rosenholm, and everyone else at the University of Tampere who has (knowingly or unknowingly) contributed to the completion of this study during its various stages.
