Die BLM hat der KEK den Antrag mit Schreiben vom 02.06.2008 zur medienkonzentrationsrechtlichen Prüfung vorge- legt. 2 Programmstruktur und -verbreitung 2.1 JETIX ist ein deutschsprachiges, digitales Spartenprogramm für Kinder mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Unterhaltung. Gesendet werden täglich von 06:00 bis 19:45 Uhr Action-, Humor- und Abenteuerformate. (It does not include any children’s output on other commercial generalist non-terrestrial channels, such as GMTV,ABC1, Sky One.) • This output analysis examines the genre range within children’s programming and looks at how this range has changed since 2003. It is based on the BARB Children’s genre classification only and uses the BARB subgenres of Children’s Drama, Factual, Cartoons, Light entertainment/quizzes, Pre-school and Miscellaneous. • It is important to note that the BARB genre classifications have some drawbacks: – All programme output that is targeted at children is not classified as Children’s within BARB. Some shows targeted at younger viewers, either within children’s slots on the PSB main channels or on the dedicated children’s channels are not classified as Children’s. For example, Disney Channel’s That’s so raven is classified in BARB as ‘Entertainment Situation Comedy US’. ‘CHRISTMAS IN CANAAN’ PRODUCTION BIOS MARGARET LOESCH (Executive Producer) – Margaret A. Loesch is the co-founder and former CEO of the The Hatchery LLC, a family entertainment company launched in 2003 with partner and former Co-CEO Bruce Stein and investor/partners Peter Guber and Paul Schaeffer. Loesch transitioned from The Hatchery to the recently formed Hasbro/Discovery Joint-Venture Network as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Loesch remains an integral part of the company, serving as an active board member. Concurrent with launching The Hatchery with Stein, in 2002-2003 Loesch raised the financing, produced, and in 2004 distributed, the fifth movie in the Benji franchise, “Benji Off the Leash,” with creator/director Joe Camp. From September 1998 until October of 2001, Loesch was the first President and Chief Executive Officer of Crown Media United States and its U. S. Hallmark Channel, having built and launched that channel after first restructuring and strengthening its predecessor, the U. S. cable channel Odyssey. Previously, she was President of the Jim Henson Television Group, Worldwide. During her tenure, she supervised the development and production of the award-winning “Bear in the Big Blue House” and served as its Executive Producer. While with Henson, Loesch played a key role in the 1998 acquisition of the Liberty Media-owned Odyssey Channel, which was acquired by the Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment. At the request of Odyssey’s consortium of partners, Loesch moved over to helm that cable channel, and is credited with building its programming strategy and ratings, forging a new management infrastructure, and establishing an enduring foundation for the Hallmark Channel, which she subsequently launched in 2001, replacing the Odyssey programming service. -

This study addresses this literature gap by analyzing depictions of religion in holiday specials aired in 2018 from three top preschool networks: Disney Junior, Nick Jr., and PBS Kids. Using qualitative content analysis, this study reveals that preschool holiday specials are shifting away from more in-depth portrayals of diverse religions toward commercialized, generalized, and secularized portrayals of Christmas. Although Chanukah and other non-Christmas religious holiday specials are, on average, older and less common than Christmas specials, they portray non-Christmas traditions in greater religious depth than the more recent and numerous Christmas specials portray Christmas. -

The Pingry School Library Grades Lower School 2-3 Summer Reading List 2011 POSTCARDS TO THE LIBRARY June 2011 Dear Parents, The Pingry School Library has a tradition of providing summer reading book lists for our students. We strongly encourage them to read a selection of books from their list during the summer. Reading for pleasure during this time will continue the development of reading skills so that no ground is lost over the summer and will help to instill a love of reading that will last a lifetime. Attached is the suggested summer reading list for your child’s grade level. Reading levels vary within a grade, so there are both challenging selections and easy-to-read titles on the list. Students may choose to read any title from the list and may read as many books as their schedules allow. Students are not expected to read all the books on the list . The list is divided into fiction, nonfiction, poetry, folktales, and biographies. The titles are annotated to help in the selection process. You may wish to read other books by the same author that are not on the list. Hopefully, every child will find something to spark their interest. Please encourage the use of the reading log in the back of the booklet to record the titles of all the books read during the summer. We ask that every student send picture postcards to the library letting us know the titles of the books they are reading and how they are enjoying their vacation. See the next page for details on the Postcards to the Library Program. -

High on ABC’s current shopping list are: animation in general, comedies targeting eight- to 12-year-olds, action-adventure shows for boys, documentaries of all types and the latest in factual and reality entertainment. ABC places a premium on homegrown content, but also uses a healthy amount of international acquisitions to augment its kids schedules. Preferred approach: As far as approach goes, the network is happy to review program submissions at any stage of the production process.
