Sense8 Est Une Série Télévisée Américaine De Science-Fiction Créée Sense8 est une série télévisée américaine de science-fiction créée par Lana et Lilly Wachowski ainsi que Joseph Michael Straczynski et diffusée depuis le 5 juin 2015 sur la plateforme de vidéo à la demande Netflix. Wachowski ont réalisée la saga Matrix ou encore Cloud atlas Acteur principaux: Aml ameen ( capheus: conducteur de matatu saison 1 ) Toby onwumere ( capheus : conducteur de matatu saison 2 ) bae doona ( sun bak: fille d’un homme d’affaire a séoul ) Jamie Clayton ( nomi marks : femme trans, née Michael marks, hackeuse) Tina dease (Kala dandekar-rasal:pharmacienne de Bombay ) Tuppence middleton (riley blue : une Dj de Londres ) max riemelt (Wolfgang bogdanow: Cambrioleur de Berlin ) miguel angel silvestre ( lito rodriguez : acteur des telenovela ; homosexuel cachée ) Brian j. smith (Will gorski : policier de chicago ) Une femme se suicide dans les ruines d'un temple méthodiste située à Chicago, aux États-Unis. Sa mort mêle mystérieusement les existences de huit individus éparpillés aux quatre coins du monde. En effet, Nomi, Will, Riley, Capheus, Sun, Lito, Kala et Wolfgang partagent désormais des expériences intellectuelles, émotionnelles et sensorielles communes et se retrouvent capables d’intervenir dans leurs réalités respectives. Ils ne sont pas les seuls à disposer de ces capacités et sont recherchés par une organisation aux desseins obscurs. La série explore des thèmes que ses réalisatrices pensent être généralement ignorés par les séries de science fiction, notamment la politique, l’identité, la sexualité, le genre et la religion. Ces huit personnes on tous la vision de cette femme en train de se suicider, on pourra constater dans les épisodes qu’ils voient ou entendent les autres personnes qui sont liés avec eux Série qui ce passe à notre époque comprendre et maîtrisé de ce pouvoir Organisation secrète veut les trouver pour leur faire subir des expériences Certains sont cibler mais grâce à leurs pouvoirs ils peuvent s'entraider entre eux La bande-annonce a beau être un montage on peut percevoir et comprendre la connexion que subissent les personnages. Ils ont l'impression de devenir fou, ils ne comprennent pas vraiment ce qu'ils leurs arrivent. On voit une scène de combat qui a l'origine est un règlement de compte pour l'un des personnage, mais très vite on peut voir qu'il est aider par une fille qui pratique les sports de combat. Intrigue légèrement barrée. critique : Elle nous invite à une réflexion sur le sens de nos valeurs (notamment envers autrui) et des codes induits par notre modèle sociétal. Il y a peu de séries qui nous fassent voyager à travers le monde et découvrir l'humanité dans ce qu'elle a de meilleure et de plus odieux. Sense8 ne plaira ni ne conviendra à tout le monde et on ne s’en étonnera guère. Que ce soit par sa naïveté outrancière, son humanisme un poil simpliste, elle risque d’en laisser plus d’un sur le carreau. Et pourtant, ce serait un crime de passer à côté. -DailyMars Sense8 est sans doute ce que le duo a réalisé de plus ouvertement personnel. La série peut être perçue comme un manifeste ultime pour la différence, une fiction haute en couleur à tendance vaguement documentaire. -les inrockuptibles Sur les trois premiers épisodes mis à disposition par Netflix, difficile de retrouver l'ambiance haletante exposée dans la bande-annonce. Cependant sur la base de ses seules histoires individuelles, chaque chapitre trouve sournoisement le moyen d'en dévoiler juste assez pour conserver l'intérêt du téléspectateur. -Huffington post Observer à la loupe des individus séparés par des milliers de kilomètres avant de les faire se téléscoper. L'entreprise est louable, l'exécution, elle, est complètement bancale. -Télé loisirs Sense8 est une histoire sur la transcendance humaine et, finalement, sur ce que cela signifie d'être humain dans nos sociétés contemporaines. -francetv info.

Abstract When Netflix launched in April 1998, Internet video was in its infancy. Eighteen years later, Netflix has developed into the first truly global Internet TV network. Many books have been written about the five broadcast networks – NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, and the CW – and many about the major cable networks – HBO, CNN, MTV, Nickelodeon, just to name a few – and this is the fitting time to undertake a detailed analysis of how Netflix, as the preeminent Internet TV networks, has come to be. This book, then, combines historical, industrial, and textual analysis to investigate, contextualize, and historicize Netflix's development as an Internet TV network. The book is split into four chapters. The first explores the ways in which Netflix's development during its early years a DVD-by-mail company – 1998-2007, a period I am calling "Netflix as Rental Company" – lay the foundations for the company's future iterations and successes.     “I am also a we”: The Interconnected, Intersectional Superheroes of Netflix’s Sense8 James M. Elrod Abstract This article explores the hero collective in Netflix’s science fiction series Sense8 (2015–2018) as a manifestation of deeply-felt desires and anxieties in an era when neoliberalized capitalism and technology seemingly have encroached on every part of the globe. The superhero “cluster” of Sense8 carries the appeals of cosmopolitanism, globalism, and promised forms of intimacy which partially flatten experiences of difference by uncritically bypassing lines of nation, race, gender, and sexuality. However, as the cluster’s cosmopolitanism undercuts projects of re- negotiating and re-articulating power relations, it simultaneously represents various forms of enacted resistance in which bodies and inter-subjectivities of queer people and people of colour become literal sources of power. This meets the need, not only for greater identarian inclusivity across media, but for an intersectionality that can rebound against neoliberal logics. Keywords: superheroes, intersectionality, cosmopolitanism, queer kinship, virtual intimacies Introduction At several historical moments and within various socio-historical contexts, humans have created superheroes to meet the exigencies of the world around them. Today, in the face of the ever- increasing digital interconnectedness experienced by many individuals and societies around the world, more and more people might be looking for heroes to limn both the newly-available forms of mediated, virtual intimacy and the emergent anxieties surrounding surveillance and privacy concerns across digital platforms. This article explores the collective of heroes in Netflix’s queer science fiction series Sense8 (2015–2018) as a manifestation of those deeply-felt desires and anxieties in an era when neoliberal forms of capitalism and technology seem to have encroached on every part of the globe.

    From Fringe to Mainstream: Understanding the Cultural and Political Identities of Contemporary German Nationalism By Jasmine Jackson-Irwin Honors Essay Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures University of North Carolina 3 April 2014 ABSTRACT Although far-right politics remains a fringe movement in contemporary Germany, one can observe its continuing presence in society given the rise of the National Democratic Party (NPD) in the early 2000s, and the violent attacks led by the National Socialist Underground (NSU) from 2000-2006. A divided opinion amongst Germans arises regarding how best to address nationalism: should the state mandate an outright ban on all nationalist groups, or foster a system that allows for close observation and monitoring of said groups? Nonetheless, the nuanced elements of the far-right movement make it increasingly difficult to achieve a definitive solution. While encompassing less than 1% of the population, supporters of the far-right often possess distinctly cultural or political identities that compromise the overall efficacy and legitimacy of the movement. Given ambiguous rates of support due to these conflicting identities, as well as the isolation of right-wing groups and individuals in specific regions, how has the contemporary right-wing achieved such widespread publicity? More importantly, to what degree does this movement pose a threat to German democracy? In this thesis, I provide an interdisciplinary review of film (Dennis Gansel’s Die Welle), literature (Andres Veiel’s Der Kick and Timur Vermes’ Er ist wieder da), journalism, and government publications to identify the societal implications of the contemporary far-right in Germany. Specifically, I seek to address how, if at all, these cultural representations of far-right ideology mirror the actual movement, and to what extent this movement may subvert established German democracy.
