    Dave Thornton Stand Up Comedian / Presenter / Broadcaster Dave Thornton has built a global reputation for his honest, engaging, whip-smart and damn funny comedy. His solo stand-up debut performance at the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy Festival garnered a nomination for ‘Best Newcomer’ for his show Euromission and he has returned to the Comedy Festival each year since, his most recent 2019 show Lean Into It was a smash hit both in Melbourne and around the country. Dave’s TV credentials include hosting a series of Channel 9’s 20 to 1, appearances ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks and Agony Uncles, Network Ten’s Hughesy We Have a Problem and regularly appearing as a fill-in host on The Project. He’s even tried his hand at acting, appearing in Channel Nine’s House Husbands and ABC TV’s Upper Middle Bogan. Pretty much any gig where there’s catering, Dave will be there. Dave spent four years co-hosting Fox FM’s breakfast radio show alongside his good friend Fifi Box which he decided to wrap up in 2017.     PETER HELLIAR Comedian/Writer/Director/Broadcaster/Presenter Peter Helliar has been one of Australia’s favourite comedians since his first appearance on our TV screens as a core cast member on the Logie Award winning Rove back in 1999. Pete has performed stand up for more than twenty years, selling out shows right across the country, where he makes the difficult business of being funny look dead easy. Now the Gold Logie Nominee is making people laugh four nights a week on Network Ten’s The Project, the beloved show where the news is delivered differently. A man of many talents, Peter created and co-produced two series of the award winning It’s A Date for ABC TV, and How to Stay Married for Network Ten which premiered in 2018 and will return in 2020. He has directed episodes of both shows. He is also the author of the much loved children’s book series, Franky Fish which is published by Hardie Grant/Egmont. As host of The Project for 5 years, Charlie was at the centre of one of Australian television’s most daring experiments, re-defining the way that hundreds of thousands of Australians see the news. As a stand-up comedian, Charlie has scored nominations for Best Newcomer in Edinburgh and the Melbourne Comedy Festival Award, as well scoring an invite to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. As a TV host he’s been nominated for a Logie and in picked up Media Personality of the Year in the GQ Men of the Year Awards. In 2018, Charlie hosted a brand-new format for the ABC alongside Annabel Crabb. In each episode of Tomorrow Tonight, Charlie introduces Annabel and a panel of experts and comedians to a story that would have us all glued to the news, if it had happened yet. Tomorrow Tonight road tests the near future to see if humans are up to the task. After hosting The Project for 5 years Charlie changed things up and premiered The Weekly with Charlie Pickering on ABC TV a satirical show that promises to restrict itself to discussing the preceding seven days. The Weekly is a prime time hit, having wrapped its seventh season in 2021.

    Dave Thornton Comedian, Broadcaster & Presenter Dave Thornton is a multi-talented stand-up comedian who has enjoyed a successful career on stage, on the radio and in television. Multi-awarded, his humour is accessible and free flowing. Dave has appeared regularly on television shows that include Network Ten’s Talkin’ ’bout Your Generation’, Good News Week and The Circle. He has performed at three Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala’s, and held audience’s attention in guest spots on ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks, Agony Uncles and Agony of Life. Dave has presented several stories for The Project, interviewing celebrities including Anne Hathaway, Owen Wilson, Jake Gyllenhall and Andy Murray. In 2013 he co-hosted Network Ten’s This Week Live alongside Tom Gleeson, Meshel Laurie and Tommy Little. Dave Thornton’s solo debut performance at the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy Festival garnered a nomination for ‘Best Newcomer’ for his show Euromission and he has returned to the Comedy Festival each year since, his most recent show So On And So Forth was a smash hit both in Melbourne and around the country. Dave has performed at two Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, two Cape Town Comedy Festivals and has even been invited to the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. For three years, Dave hosted the Just For Laughs Stand Up Series during the Australian leg of the festival and the series later aired on FOXTEL’s The Comedy Channel. Dave is quite the actor, appearing on our small screens landing roles in shows such as Channel 9’s smash hit House Husbands and more recently in ABC TV’s Upper Middle Bogan.
