Charlie Pickering Stand Up Comedian / Writer / Broadcaster / Presenter Edgy, polished and inventive, Charlie Pickering is a political junkie and law graduate who chose to pay his HECS debt by squandering his degree. Charlie spent ten years travelling the world as an award-winning stand-up comedian before settling into the closest thing he had to a day job. As host of The Project for 5 years, Charlie was at the centre of one of Australian television’s most daring experiments, re-defining the way that hundreds of thousands of Australians see the news. As a stand-up comedian, Charlie has scored nominations for Best Newcomer in Edinburgh and the Melbourne Comedy Festival Award, as well scoring an invite to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. As a TV host he’s been nominated for a Logie and in picked up Media Personality of the Year in the GQ Men of the Year Awards. In 2018, Charlie hosted a brand-new format for the ABC alongside Annabel Crabb. In each episode of Tomorrow Tonight, Charlie introduces Annabel and a panel of experts and comedians to a story that would have us all glued to the news, if it had happened yet. Tomorrow Tonight road tests the near future to see if humans are up to the task. After hosting The Project for 5 years Charlie changed things up and premiered The Weekly with Charlie Pickering on ABC TV a satirical show that promises to restrict itself to discussing the preceding seven days. The Weekly is a prime time hit, having wrapped its seventh season in 2021. -
Justin Hamilton
Justin Hamilton Writer and Stand-Up Comedian After twenty-plus years in the industry, Justin Hamilton has carved out an incredibly successful career as a stand-up comedian and as a writer and director. Justin started his career back in 1994 as part of the musical comedy duo “The Bunta Boys”, who over their five year career toured Australia and supported Alexei Sayle, The Doug Anthony All-Stars, Judith Lucy, Sue Anne Post and the Clowns of Decadence. Over the course of the last 15 years, Justin has won awards for his solo stand up comedy shows including the Director’s Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival for his show “Three Colours Hammo” (which also won the Advertiser best show at the Adelaide Fringe). In 2009 he wrote the play “Goodbye Ruby Tuesday” which starred actor Hannah Norris, with Justin in a supporting role. His one-man play “The Goodbye Guy” (2012) was met with unanimous praise and good reviews. Justin is also the producer, curator and host of comedy variety show The Shelf. Alongside his friend the fabulous Adam Richard, they have hosted some of the best comedians from Australia and abroad including Wil Anderson, Rove McManus, Tony Martin, Glenn Robbins, Celia Pacquola, Cal Wilson, Dave Hughes and Andy Zaltzman. In 2013 Justin starred in and was a co-producer on the Comedy Channel TV show “Stand Ups Sit Down”, a show that was inspired and spun out of his incredibly successful podcast, “Can You Take This Photo Please?” The podcast is listened to all over the world and the one-off special for the Comedy Channel saw Justin host with guests Wil Anderson and Rove McManus. -

Charlie Pickering Stand Up Comedian / Writer / Broadcaster / Presenter Edgy, polished and inventive, Charlie Pickering is one of the most exciting names in Australian comedy. Charlie is a political junkie, law graduate and was the voice of his generation as a regular team captain for Generation X on Network Ten’s quiz show Talkin’ ‘bout Your Generation. He was also on your TV screen every weeknight for 5 years as co-host of The Project where the day’s news is dissected, digested and re-constituted by some of Australia’s funniest and smartest. Long before he scored gigs on two of TV’s biggest shows, Charlie was touring internationally, winning awards and playing to sold-out houses. He has performed solo seasons at the Griffin Theatre in Sydney, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Brisbane Comedy Festival and New Zealand Comedy Festival, not to mention performing spots at comedy clubs throughout Australia and entertaining the troops over in Afghanistan. Charlie has earned many an accolade for his live work over the years, including nominations for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in Edinburgh, the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as well as being named Best International Guest by the NZ Comedy Guild. He’s even been nominated for a Logie and in 2011 picked up Media Personality of the Year in the GQ Men of the Year Awards. In 2010, he released his first book “Impractical Jokes” based on his 2007 Comedy Festival show which has received rave reviews right across the country, and in 2011 his first DVD was released through Madman Entertainment “Live At The Time of the Recording”. -

Justin Hamilton
Justin Hamilton Writer and Stand-Up Comedian Justin Hamilton has carved out an incredibly successful career as a stand-up comedian, writer and stage director while maintaining his unique voice within the Australian comedy scene. Over the course of the last 15 years, Justin has won awards for his solo stand up comedy shows including the Director’s Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival for his show “Three Colours Hammo”. In 2011, The Arts Monthly announced that Justin was the Comedian of the Decade. Justin has also worked extensively in radio, most recently as a key writer for Rove’s 2DayFM breakfast show Rove & Sam. For ten years he was also the TV and movie reviewer for Perth’s number one rated Mix FM, and was a regular guest on Merrick Watts’ Triple M Drive show in Sydney. His podcast, Can You Take This Photo Please? ran from 2010 to 2017, hitting the top 20 downloads on Australian iTunes in its first year and has featured interviews with Simon Pegg, Marc Maron, Judith Lucy, Tony Martin and US comedian Dave Anthony, amongst others. He’s still found the time to be one of Australia’s premiere stand-up comedians, performing two shows in 2016, Hoot and Justin Hamilton – LIVE! as well as performing at Just for Laughs Sydney. In 2017 he revisited his origin story in Bunta Boy, a celebration and reflection on the beginning of his comedy career, which was launched as part of a duo bearing the same name. Justin was the head writer and a producer on Network Ten’s Show Me The Movie! Tom Gleeson Comedian / Broadcaster Tom Gleeson is one of Australia's favourite comedians. Besides his many TV appearances, he’s been nominated for a Helpmann Award three times and won the Piece of Wood Comedian’s Choice Award in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has performed several times at the two major comedy festivals in Melbourne and Edinburgh, as well as the invite- only Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the Kilkenny Comedy Festival in Ireland. He is the comedian that comedians watch. Tom regularly tours the country with his live shows, selling out venues in regional towns to the Sydney Opera House. He is a must-see act at comedy festivals in every Australian city, including his most recent show Cheer Up. In 2017, he also recorded a stand up special as part of the “One Night Stan” series for online streaming service Stan at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne. Tom has also performed extensively overseas in cities such as London, Dublin, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta as well as entertaining the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Whilst continuing to tour the country with sell out shows, Tom is a regular on our television screens alongside Charlie Pickering and Kitty Flanagan on the award-winning ABC series, The Weekly. PETER HELLIAR Comedian/Writer/Director/Broadcaster/Presenter Peter Helliar has been one of Australia’s favourite comedians since his first appearance on our TV screens as a core cast member on the Logie Award winning Rove back in 1999. Pete has performed stand up for more than twenty years, selling out shows right across the country, where he makes the difficult business of being funny look dead easy. Now the Gold Logie Nominee is making people laugh four nights a week on Network Ten’s The Project, the beloved show where the news is delivered differently. A man of many talents, Peter created and co-produced two series of the award winning It’s A Date for ABC TV, and How to Stay Married for Network Ten which premiered in 2018 and is now currently filming its third season. He has directed episodes of both shows. He is also the author of the much loved children’s book series, Franky Fish which is published by Hardie Grant/Egmont.
