All persons buying and selling such stock shall be deemed to do so with full knowledge of these conditions and such stock will be accepted for sale only on that understanding. ALL CLAIMS FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY MUST BE MADE TO THE AUCTIONEERS WITHIN ONE HOUR OF THE CLOSE OF AUCTION AND BEFORE THE ANIMALS HAVE LEFT THE SALE YARD. *NO CLAIMS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME* ALL CLAIMS FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY shall be settled by a person nominated by T.F.A.M. Such person shall have power to order the return to vendor of any animals which he finds do not comply with the warranty and he may order the payment of costs and expenses by the third party and/or compensation or, if time allows on the day of sale, resale by auction of the entire lot with all faults described. All animals must pass through the sale ring and be offered for private auction. Private Sales will not be permitted. Every vendor MUST ensure their sheep are penned in the correct pens BEFORE they are sold. The number of sheep in each lot shall be counted once leaving the pen to the ring and confirmed returning back from ring. IMPORTANT The time mentioned for making claims for breach of warranty must strictly be adhered to and no claim will be admitted if made out of time. The onus of providing that the claim is made within the proper time shall be on the person making it. EWES & THEAVES ALL EWES AND THEAVES sold in this fair shall (unless otherwise stated at the time of sale) be warranted by the vendor to be right and straight. The term ‘right and straight’ means that Ewes and Theaves are CORRECT IN THEIR TEATS AND UDDERS and CORRECT IN THE MOUTH. Ages will be referred by the age in years or shears etc. Vendors offering ewes of varying ages in one lot MUST disclose the number of ewes in each age group. Claims of breach of warranty of the above having been provided, the purchaser shall have the option of leaving such animal(s), otherwise the vendor shall pay compensation as defined in the LAA conditions of sale. LAMBS *Unless otherwise stated it will be assumed that ALL WHETHER LAMBS ARE PROPERLY CASTRATED. *Any complaint as to whether lambs have been misrepresented as ewe lambs must be made by the time stated above. Claims for breach of warranty under the above having been proved, the vendor shall pay to the purchaser compensation at the rate of 33% of the purchase price. E.I.D Sellers and Buyers must give particular note to the new LAA conditions of sale regarding liability as shown in the sales office. PAYMENT: All stock must be paid for on the day of sale. Terms are strictly CASH or CARD unless credit references have been cleared with the Auctioneers prior to the day of sale for payment by cheque. Cheques will be accepted from regular customers known to the Auctioneers. AGENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Persons purchasing on behalf of a third party are responsible for any debts incurred by the third party in accordance with the Conditions of Sale as laid down by the Livestock Auctioneers Association. WARRANTY OF STOCK: All stock sold under the LAA Conditions of Sale as displayed in the sheep fair office and those within this catalogue. SALE NOTES: Buyers are required to give particular attention to announcements made from the rostrum concerning animals as they pass through the sale ring. Confusion may often be avoided if alterations and amendments to catalogue particulars and other information of value are carefully noted when announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale. REMOVAL OF SHEEP: It would be appreciated if all sheep could be removed the same day, we have limited lairage facilities on the showground site. MORTALITY WARRANTY is charged to both purchaser and vendor at 20p per sheep sold at this fair valid from seven days from day of sale (please read conditions printed in this catalogue). Purchasers wishing not to pay the Mortality Warranty must be aware all sheep are at the purchaser’s risk once they have left the sale ground. BIO-SECURITY AT THIS SALE Please adhere to the current bio-security regulations – enter sale area clean and leave sale area clean. Foot baths and washing facilities are available. IMPORTANT NOTICE WHEN PURCHASING SHEEP I. Please use your bidding number and have your holding number ready when paying. II. No livestock vehicle will be allowed onto the dock before loading without having first shown their ‘pass out’ to the Dock Foremen who are identified by florescent jackets. III.
