• Originally from Lewistown, MT • Youngest of 8 • MSU – Agriculture • Started at age 5 on a treadle machine making doll clothing • Quilting is her passion • Loves heirloom techniques • Martha Pullen, Jenny Haskins and Sulky Certified Teacher • Works for USDA – Natural Resources Conservation Service for 27 years in Lewistown, Sheridan, Dillon, Glasgow, Bozeman and Boise ID. Fabric Painting Did you miss the previous opportunities to take this fascinating class taught by our visiting instructor Kristine Berg? Kris had another successful class in the Into the Heart of The painting class. Her information and techniques inspired people to create not only delightful wall hangings, but one creative individual (looking at you Rosie!) made a useful bag to tote her small projects around in.

Madeira Tea Towel Class

A fun filled class learning about lace and Madeira applique. The tea towel that was created combines a variety of techniques that will easily transfer to other projects.

You can still join this wonderful embroidery club! Each class with Marie is independent of the previous classes. You can take one or take them all and learn the information that will help you make your embroidery less frustrating, easier to understand and a lot more fun! The June 7th class will cover Embroidering on a towel. This information will help you out when you need to make some Monogramed wedding towels!

Embroidery II Now that you have covered the basics (and made a spiffy Beach Tote!) join the fun on June 8th to have some BathTime Fun! We will be covering some of the information previously covered in ECI, but will take it further when we cut the towels up and make hooded towels that both young and old kids will enjoy after a day at the pool.

Happy Feet Feet got you frustrated? Come learn about the many feet available and what you can do with them in this Happy Foot class. We explore the techniques available with the featured foot. In this class we work with different media to create a book that you can review for information when you are sewing. Use feet that you may not own and test drive them. This fat quarter friendly bag is a great way to get ready for your summer travel with the zippered front pocket, two back pockets six inside pockets and a magnetic snap closure. We will review fussy cutting for the front pocket and how to stop your bottom from sagging. $35 (includes pattern) plus supplies.

The Kristine Spool by Kimberbell June 22 from 12 - 5

The “Kristine” pouch includes piecing and quilting — all in one hoop! Each has a pieced “spool” and the zipper pouch is lined and shows no raw seams or stabilizer! This in the hoop Pouch is a great way to use up scraps. What makes it even better is all supplies are included, you just bring your embroidery machine, some basic sewing supplies and some threads. The $25 price includes the embroidery pattern and the supplies!

Pickle Pie Monogram Fast Fobs June 30 from 10 – 12

Come a fast and fun monogrammed key fob, scissor fob or backpack tags using some cork fabric in this Saturday morning class! Cost is $25 and it includes all supplies. You just bring your embroidery machine, some basic embroidery supplies and thread to make this fun project!

Petal Pouch June 30 from 12- 4

The Petal Pouch is a small but functional pouch. It is large enough to carry your essentials, and cute enough to brighten any outfit. This class will be Saturday afternoon. Cost is $45 and includes all supplies except for your , thread and basic sewing supplies. Stop in and check out the sample!

Now that spring has gone we thought that you might like to see what everyone did in the classes.

Jerrine was visiting and it is always exciting to have her in the store especially when we can get her for a WHOLE month. Here is a taste of what happened…

Edge to Edge Quilting was packed with information and excitement. Not only did people get their quilt tops made, but then they used the Edge to Edge quilting techniques to finish them. Learning how to hoop and plan for the quilting design was a major accomplishment. When she comes back in September, she will be following up with Build a Quilt on your Embroidery Machine, also by

Amelie Scott Designs.

Saturday Satchel got people creating a super-sized bag to fill with their goodies. Working with stitches was fun and easy. The sample is still in the store, come check it out!
