Welcome “We are pendleton county” Pendleton County is a small, rural county that is based in agricultural and a relaxed lifestyle. Mostly, though, Pendleton County is the people that live within its’ borders. The residents of Pendleton County can be seen daily creating for the county, the youth and the community a better way of life. Whether it is from the many churches to the elected officials to the committees, organizations or groups to the first responders to any of a number of individuals, Pendleton County is these people. We honor the many who have gone before and worked for the betterment of Pendleton County to the ones carrying the torch presently and those of the next generation that are watching with little eyes and will be the future leaders. Pendleton County is not just a place. Pendleton County is the people that live in that place.

Kentucky Wool Festival October 2-4, 2020

Kentucky Wool Festival has a few simple goals they attempt to accomplish each year. They include, but are not limited to: To hold an annual event that takes place the 1st Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October. Be unique. Promote sheep, wool products, and the local commu- nity. Have heritage demonstrations going on through- out the festival. Offer activities for all age groups. Maintain a family oriented atmosphere. Provide an opportunity for community and school organiza- tions, crafts peo- ple, and individu- als to raise money as an alternative of door to door sales or fund rais- ing drives. Entertain the public by provid- ing an environ- ment where the people can meet, have fun, hear live music, and learn about our history. Held on the Kentucky Wool Festival property beside Kincaid Lake State Park off of Hwy 159, the three-day festival brings over 30,000 to Pendleton County to enjoy the music, crafts, food and memories. 2020-21 GUIDE, Page 42 YOUTH FAIR Pendleton County Youth Fair purpose is to promote the development of youth through agriculture, cultural arts, education, industry and business to the general betterment of Pendleton County and its rural heritage through the facilitation of a county fair.
