Prix du Public (Toutes sections confondues, hors Marathon Comédies, Nouvelles Saisons Inédites et Formats courts) Le Prix du Public viendra récompenser la « série coup de cœur » des spectateurs parmi les nouveaux titres en saison 1 soumis au vote à l’issue des projections. 4 Le trophée SERIES MANIA Le trophée Le Trophée SERIES MANIA a été créé avec Lille Métropole 2020, capitale mondiale du design. C’est le projet de Quentin Vaulot, designer originaire de Lille qui a été choisi. Le trophée sera remis aux gagnants. Ce trophée reprend le logo du festival de manière élancée et en mouvement. La succession des lames évoque le mouvement de l’image cinématographique. À propos de Quentin Vaulot Diplômé avec les félicitations du jury à l’ENSCI-Les Ateliers, Quentin Vaulot fonde son studio de design en 2009 à Paris, puis s’installe à Lille en 2016, sa terre d’origine. Son travail fait l’objet de plusieurs distinctions qui l’ont amené à devenir résident de la prestigieuse Villa Kujoyama en 2015. Inspiré par les sciences et la beauté de la nature, Quentin Vaulot est designer, spécialisé en innovation disruptive et design stratégique. Il travaille pour créer des objets et des services cohérents, justes et sincères. Enthousiaste de l’avenir, il explore les frontières de la création, imaginant comment les changements sociétaux, économiques, technologiques et environnementaux peuvent être des leviers d’innovation pour rendre la vie plus agréable et le monde meilleur. Elle a aussi produit la nouvelle série Fertile Crescent qui a obtenu le Prix du Forum de Co-Pro- duction à SERIES MANIA 2017. Clovis Cornillac Acteur pour le théâtre, le cinéma et la télévision, Clovis Cornillac est apparu pour la première fois sur le petit écran dans la série Un Village sur la Colline en 1982. De 2001 à 2004, il incarne « Viking » l’un des rôles principaux de Central Nuit aux côtés de Michel Creton. En 2015, il est le rôle principal de la série Chefs pour France 2.     WiN: The EAAS Women’s Network Journal Issue 2 (2020) Skin-Deep Gender: Posthumanity and the De(con)struction of the Feminine/Masculine Dichotomy in Westworld Amaya Fernández Menicucci ABSTRACT: This article addresses the ways in which gender configurations are used as representations of the process of self-construction of both human and non-human characters in Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s series Westworld, produced by HBO and first launched in 2016. In particular, I explore the extent to which the process of genderization is deconstructed when human and non-human identities merge into a posthuman reality that is both material and virtual. In Westworld, both cyborg and human characters understand gender as embodiment, enactment, repetition, and codified communication. Yet, both sets of characters eventually face a process of disembodiment when their bodies are digitalized, which challenges the very nature of identity in general and gender identity in particular. Placing this digitalization of human identity against Donna Haraway’s cyborg theory and Judith Butler’s citational approach to gender identification, a question emerges, which neither Posthumanity Studies nor Gender Studies can ignore: can gender identities survive a process of disembodiment? Such, indeed, is the scenario portrayed in Westworld: a world in which bodies do not matter and gender is only skin-deep. Everyone sees the actor at work, but very few people see the hours of research, the intrinsic skills, the gut instinct that the Casting Director puts into finding just the right person for just the right role. It’s a mix of routine and inspiration which brings the characters we come to love, and sometimes to hate, to the big screen. The Casting Director’s delicate work as liaison between director, actors, their agent/manager and the studio/network figures prominently in decisions which can make or break a project. It’s a job that can't garner an Oscar, but its mighty importance is always felt behind the scenes. These are core aspects of our humanity. Much of my work focuses on Haitian Vodou music. --La fin du monde by N.A.P. (1998) and Mauvais Oeil by Lunatic (2000) are considered breakthrough albums for lyrics that draw from the Arabic-Islamic lexical field. Since (2001) many artists have drawn from the Islamic lexical field in their raps. By chance, Lars runs into a small radical group of neo-Nazis led by the charismatic Michael ‘Fatso’ (Nicolas Bro). Initially, Lars distances himself from their ideology and methods, but fuelled by defiance against the system in general – and his parents in particular – Lars decides to join the group. Fatso immediately spots the potential in the intelligent eloquent Lars, even though his right-hand man, Jimmy (David Dencik), does not agree. Lars rapidly advances through the ranks and is nominated as an A member, despite the fact that this promotion should really have gone to Jimmy’s younger brother, Patrick (Morten Holst).
