I should probably add that immediately after I'd read PB I came quite close to deciding that it would probably not be worth reading this one as well, on account of the fact that PB really wasn't all I was considering giving the book four stars just in order to indicate that I liked it better than I liked Porterhouse Blue which I also ended up giving a three star rating , but in the end I decided it didn't deserve a fourth star.
