A CLUB NEWS APRIL 2018 WWW.WCMAC.NET [email protected] Greetings once again, Presidents Linda and I are still here in the deep South where it's getting real hot and humid, and the pollen Ron Loconto levels are becoming very high. It's time to move further North but not sure if the weather is Paul O Keefe behaving up there yet? Someone said Keith ran over the groundhog? :-/ Kudos to Keith & Ellen Costello for putting on a great "Pot Luck" Luncheon this year, I heard Vice President the food was excellent and a great turnout. Thank you all for supporting this event. Paul Mitchell Hope you all had a happy Easter and were not part of any April fools activities :-). We have one new member to add to our roster this month (no fooling), and he has a familiar face. Welcome Don Peterson of Holden, formerly of Leicester. Don is a friend of Jerry and Karen Secretary Hyson. I am sure you have seen him at some of our events of the past. Welcome Don and your 1930 Fordor. Ed Sullivan We have some great activities coming up this month so hope you have your car all tuned up and reached for that Dust Buster already. It is a good time to adjust those brakes and check Treasurer the front end components, along with the normal change/check of oil and things, but above all, make sure there is enough water in your radiator! David Libbey Note that this April 17th is not only the April club meeting, but it is also our Club Annual Auction.

  • Jeep 2.5 Firing Order You Can Adjust Ignition Timing on Your Jeep Wrangler by Rotating the Distributor a Few Degrees
Jeep 2.5 firing order You can adjust ignition timing on your Jeep Wrangler by rotating the distributor a few degrees. This procedure is possible on the 4. Before starting, make sure you have the correct timing degree and RPMs at idle specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Timing your Jeep is best after you have driven the vehicle for about 20 minutes to make sure the engine has reached operating temperature. Park the car in a safe place and set the transmission to Park automatic or Neutral manual , apply the "Parking" brakes and turn off the engine. Locate the timing scale on the case cover above the crankcase pulley at the engine front end and the notch on the crankcase pulley or vibration dumper, right next to the timing scale. If they are hard to see, clean the scale plate and pulley. Then highlight the marks with white chalk or correction fluid. This wire is located on top of the valve cover. Also, unplug the vacuum hose at the distributor and plug the hose with a Phillips screwdriver of the appropriate size. Make sure the timing light wires are out of the way of moving parts. At all times, during this procedure, be aware of the rotating cooling fan so that you do not touch it by accident with your hands or a piece of equipment. Start the engine, increase the idle speed to rpm and adjust the idle to the number provided on the VECI label, following the procedure described in the same label. When ready, aim the timing light to the graduated scale on the front case cover and see what number on the scale the notch on the pulley points to.

  • 2000 Hate Crime Statistics
terilized from emotion, hate crime, also called bias crime, is those offenses motivated in part or singularly by personal prejudice against others because of a diversity—race, sexual orientation, Sreligion, ethnicity/national origin, or disability. The FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program’s responsibility regarding hate crime is to provide a reliable set of statistics through the Hate Crime Data Collection Program. Through this program, law enforcement agencies nationwide voluntar- ily submit data about hate crimes within their jurisdictions (i.e., the number of incidents, offenses, victims, and offenders) for publication in the annual report, Hate Crime Statistics. Though law enforce- ment agencies need only report data for one month of a year to be included in this publication, most agencies that participate in the Program submit four quarters of data. In 2000, a total of 91.9 percent of all contributing agencies submitted four quarters of data. All data reported by law enforcement agencies are presented in this publication, free of the nuances that many factions of society impose upon the subject. The uses for hate crime data vary widely among the different sectors of society. The statistics may assist law enforcement agencies in addressing potentially problematic issues for their particular locales or provide lawmakers with justification for certain legislation. The data may supply the media with credible information or simply show hate crime victims that they are not alone. Analyses of these data can also aid researchers in determining trends in hate crimes. Whatever the use of the statistics may be, the goal of this publication is to enable these data users to create an awareness about hate crime and advance the study of this complex facet of crime.

Sometimes referred to as the engine, this engine was originally designed by Nash and introduced in the Nash Ambassador model. It featured only four main bearings , unlike the 7-main-bearing flathead engine it replaced. It was a flathead design displacing It was redesigned as an OHV engine in The flathead version was discontinued for —, but reemerged in as the economy engine for the "new" Rambler American. When the engine was changed to an OHV configuration the water pump was moved from the left side of the engine driven by a shaft extending from the back of the generator to the front above the timing chain. When the flathead model was reintroduced it also received the new water pump. Equipped with such high quality parts as forged crankshafts and connecting rods , these engines earned a reputation for remarkable durability. The flathead, however, was prone to the typical flathead problem of overheating under sustained heavy load. This was from the hot exhaust traveling through the cylinder block to the exhaust manifold. American Motors introduced a die-cast aluminum block version of the OHV It was produced through The cylinder heads for the two types of block aluminum and cast iron are of similar design, but are not interchangeable. The OHV requires more periodic maintenance than newer-model engines. The head bolts must be re-torqued retightening process regularly. The cause of the headbolts loosening over time is believed to be thermal expansion and contraction of the head due to the rather heavy design.
