The Dekanex FG series is a range of highly pure Hydrogenated Polydecene. It is a well- defined synthetic oil, obtained by oligomerisation, and extra purification steps in the production process provide an extremely high purity, as demonstrated by the hot acid test. Dekanex FG is suitable for a broad range of cosmetic applications, including demanding applications where a high degree of purity, reproducibility and safety is important, for example baby care, suncare, colour cosmetics and products for sensitive skin. Gemmotherapy (‘therapy with buds’) is based on the use of plant buds as an alternative to modern medicine. The use of buds was already described in the middle ages and in ancient pharmacopoeias. Buds are considered as the concentrated, embryonic part of the plant, containing the starting compounds, the biological energy, the power and functionalities of the future plant. Jan Dekker product portfolio 13 Waxes

Beeswax is one of the oldest cosmetic ingredients. It is a unique product, harvested from the honeycomb of the honey bee, and can be used across the whole range of cosmetic products, e.g. in make-up (stick) products and in O/W and W/O formulations. In stick formulations, it can improve consistency of the stick (firmness, oil binding strength and plasticity) and improves pay-off when applied. Its adhesion properties makes it a good choice in e.g. mascara. It is one of the few emulsifiers found in nature, and can be used to increase emulsion consistency. On the skin it contributes to skin feel, whereas emolliency and barrier function can profit from its occlusive character.
