Location The conference venue takes place at the Dipartimento di Studi per l’Economia e l’Impresa – Università del Piemonte Orientale, via Perrone 18 – 28100

How to reach the conference venue The conference venue is in the city centre of Novara, about 1 km far from the railway station. Novara can be easily reached by: • train (route -Turin); • plane: o Malpensa airport is the closest one, about 30 km far from Novara; o Linate airport is 50 km far from Novara; o Orio al Serio is 90 km far from Novara; • car (motorway A4 Milan-Turin).

From Novara Railway Station to the conference venue:

- On foot (approximately 15 minutes): cross the square just in front of the station and take Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Go on in Corso Cavour for about 300 meters, turn left into Via Cavallotti. After 150 meters turn right into via Magnani Ricotti, at the end of this street there is the Dipartimento di Studi per l’Economia e l’Impresa.

- By taxi: outside the railway station, you can catch a taxi to get to the conference venue.

Note: in case you arrive at the other smaller railway station (i.e. Novara Nord), you can reach the main one by crossing the street just in front of the Novara Nord Station and taking the railroad underpass. Then, follow the instructions mentioned above.

From Malpensa Airport to Novara:

- You can take a direct bus to Novara from Terminal 1 and 2 (from Terminal 1 departures at 8.05am, 10am, 12am, 3.05pm, 4pm, 5pm, 8.05pm, 9.05pm) and get off at the Novara Railway Station (NRS). https://www.stnnet.it/novaramalpensa.html

- Alternatively, you can take the “” train to , then the Trenord train to Novara Nord Station http://m.trenord.it/site-lite/index.html (search from Malpensa T1 or T2 to Novara Nord).

From Linate Airport to Novara:

- Out of the airport take a bus or a taxi to Milan Central Station and then follow the instructions on how to reach Novara from this Railway Station. From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport to Novara:

From Milan Central Station to Novara:

- Take the train Regionale Veloce (RV) to Turin (departures every 60 minutes. Fares: 2 nd class 5.50 euros; 1 st class 8.30 euros) https://www.trenitalia.com (Note: you can also take the Intercity train (IC) but it is more expensive and you save only 2 minutes on the route).

From Passante stations in Milan (e.g. Milano Dateo, Repubblica, Porta Venezia, Lancetti, Garibaldi, etc.) to Novara:

- Take the train of the Line S6: direction to Novara (departures every 30 minutes. Fare €5.50) https://www.trenitalia.com/

From Turin Porta Nuova or Turin Porta Susa to Novara:

By car:

- Take the Motorway A4 and exit at Novara Est. Then follow the signs to the city centre and to University. Participants at the 2019 AIEL conference can park in the university parking (entrance in via Passalacqua) by sending an email with details on arrival to Carmen Aina: [email protected]

How to get to the parking of the University The University has a private parking inside the campus. The access by car is in Via Passalacqua 9 (there is a green light outside the entrance) Google maps street view https://goo.gl/maps/p3F6X1eNzzXQGyCt6 The entrance of the parking is protected by a barrier. To get in, ring the bell and say that you are a participant of the AIEL conference. You can park wherever you find white stripes. The location of the conference is in the new building you see on the right once you get into the parking area. Notice that the University campus closes at around 8 pm. You can leave the car in the parking area at night, but if you need the car after the closing time, please park it outside the campus perimeter. In the surrounding area there are many public parking lots (blue stripes), which are free from 8 pm until 8 am.
