Our building was built in 1765, during the British colonial era. In 1840 the owner of the building was Robert D. Clarke who founded an auction business here. That auction business continued until the 1950’s. This building has been a large part of the history of Halifax. Reminiscent of its history, we welcome you to the Auction House – A British Pub.
