    'Undateable' Guys Go on Tour

    'Undateable' Guys Go on Tour 02.25.2014 "Undateable" is a new comedy coming to NBC about a group of friends going through a rut. In order to promote these guys and their stories leading up to the show's debut, NBC and Warner Bros. figured they'd first introduce them to everyone in person. So throughout March, four of the stars of the show (who also happen to be standup comedians) will join executive producer Bill Lawrence on a multi-city standup comedy tour, spanning the U.S. Lawrence, who will serve as host, and stars Chris D'Elia, Ron Funches, Brent Morin and Rick Glassman will start in New York on March 2 and head across the country, ending the tour in Los Angeles on March 20 (full schedule below). "Since it's so hard to launch a network comedy in this competitive landscape, we thought we would try a little grassroots marketing," said "Undateable" co-creator and executive producer Adam Sztykiel. "Plus, it will be exciting to see Bill travel around in a van." The series, based on the book "Undateable: 311 Things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won't Be Dating or Having Sex," will premiere later this year on NBC.     DEBRA DIGIOVANNI Voted Canada’s Best Female Comedian at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards with a stand up show ranked #1 of 2007 in Toronto’s NOW! Magazine, Debra DiGiovanni is one of a kind. This year Debra’s been honored with another Canadian Comedy Award nomination, as well as her nomination for best individual comedy performance at the Gemini awards. Debra can also be seen on the 5th season of NBC’s hit show Last Comic Standing where she was chosen as a top 10 finalist. In 2008, she taped her second ‘Comedy Now!’ special for CTV/Comedy network and in 2009 she hosted the Cream of Comedy award show for the Comedy Network. Debra is also a favorite on the hugely popular Much Music show ‘Video On Trial’. In 2007 she taped her first Gala at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and has since been back to host the prestigious Home Grown Competition. She’s performed at the Halifax, Winnipeg, Sudbury, Moncton and St John’s Comedy Festivals and completed a successful west coast run with her Girls Night Out tour, ending 2008 by headlining Massey Hall for their New Years Eve gala. Debra was asked to participate in Toronto’s production of the Nutcracker, filling the celebrity role of ‘Canon Doll,’ and you can hear her regularly on the CBC radio show ‘The Debaters’ as well as the voice for Zellers radio. SHORT SYNOPSIS MOON POINT is the story of Darryl Strozka (Nick McKinlay), a socially awkward and ambitionless 23‐year old who seems destined to live forever with his mother. As his cocky cousin Lars’ wedding approaches, Darryl decides that the best way to prove to his family that he is not quite as worthless as they think he is, is to track down his elementary school crush, now an obscure B‐movie actress shooting a horror film in Moon Point, and bring her to the wedding. Darryl enlists his best friend, known affectionately as Femur (Kyle Mac), and travels hundreds of miles in a wagon hooked onto the back of Femur’s electric wheelchair. On their journey, the boys meet Kristin (Paula Brancati), a sharp, sarcastic young woman who is running away from a relationship back home. Eager to join the boys on their adventure, she begins to realize that love can find you in unlikely places. But naturally, as tends to happen on such a quest, things don’t turn out quite as planned. Along the way, Darryl and his friends get shot at, track a banana to an AA meeting, and are the victims of theft by a karaoke competitor.
