On Sunday Oct. 5 courageous souls from nearly every State in the Union will lay it all on the line for the prestigious national championship crown. The race, now in its eighth year in Incline Village, will be filmed and edited into a one- hour special that will be seen by millions of viewers across the country via national syndication and on the brand-new XTERRA.TV. Not just for racers, the events and activities at the XTERRA sports festival offer an adventure for everyone. Located at the Village Green in Incline Village, visitors to the XTERRA festival will find big white tents filled with everything from the latest in XTERRA Gear to sponsor displays. It's headquarters for all the outdoor action, and a great place to spend some time after running in the 5k or finishing up a big plate of BBQ. There's music playing, prize giveaways, kids games, and this year on Friday and Saturday a silent auction to raise money for Jamie Whitmore (pictured on the cover) as she battles cancer. Rose Highway/Lake Tahoe exit, Highway 431 (exit merges directly onto Highway 431). Follow Highway 431 until it ends at Highway 28. Turn left onto Highway 28 to third stop light.
