Using Pharmacogenetics to Personalize Treatment in the Family Doctor’s Office: Focus on Psychiatric Medications. Royal Canadian Institute for the Advancement of Science. Great progress has been made in the science of pharmacogenetics in providing DNA-based information to clinicians to assist them in determining the right drug. Speaker James L. Kennedy, M.D. will discuss how in the future patients may wish to carry their genetic information with them on a memory card in a similar way to wearing a medical alert bracelet.
