DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES AND CHARGES) (ISLE OF MULL) ORDER 201_ Argyll and Bute Council proposes to make a Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which will be to make changes to the parking regime in existing car parks and introduce new car parking charges in some off street car parks. All car parks in Mull will be contained within one order and existing orders will be revoked. The proposals are as follows:- 1. Introduction of parking charges in Ledaig Car Park, Tobermory. The first two hours will be free with standard charges applying thereafter (no charges to apply to buses parking within the bus parking area). 2. Introduction of parking charges in the Columba Centre Car Park, Fionnphort. 3. Introduction of parking charges in the Long Stay Car Park, Craignure. 4. Removal of lorry parking in Craignure. 5. Alter the charging regime in Craignure Toilets Car Park to allow one hour of free parking with standard charges applying thereafter. 6. Classes of vehicles permitted within all the car parks reviewed and amended. All charging car parks are to have charges applying all year round, Monday to Sunday 9am to 6pm with the exception of Bunessan Car Park which will remain free however will be subject to all other provisions of the traffic order. The car parks at Iona Ferry will be covered by this order however no changes are being made to the existing charging regime. Full details of the proposals, together with a Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Traffic Regulation Order can be inspected by logging on to the Council’s website at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk or viewed during normal office hours at the offices of: (i) Argyll and Bute Council, Customer Service Point, Breadalbane Street, Tobermory, Isle of Mull; (ii) Craignure Post Office and Stores, Craignure, Isle of Mull; (iii) The Post Office, The Ferry Shop, Fionnphort, Isle of Mull; (iv) Iona Post Office, Isle of Iona; (v) Argyll and Bute Council Offices, Kilmory, Lochgilphead. Any person wishing to object to the proposals should send details of the grounds for objection in writing providing their name and address, to the Head of Governance and Law, Argyll and Bute Council, Kilmory, Lochgilphead, Argyll, PA31 8RT or by emailing [email protected], by the 16th November 2018.
