The museum’s collections are at the heart of what we do. As well as the permanent displays, the collections enable us to do so much more than having objects gathering dust in cases or in storage. We use the objects to stimulate the imagination, to weave the stories of Huntingdonshire’s past into our modern and fast paced lives; to give a sense of place to people moving into the area, and help locally born residents to connect with their families’ roots. The collections inspire creativity, which gives the museum team a dynamic forward thinking and inclusive approach to their work.
