Women & Children (Boys&Girls <18 years) Men 18 years and above Highlights ● On 16 March 2014, AFAD - the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency of Government of Turkey - announced that the total number of Syrians registered and assisted in 22 camps located in 10 provinces was 221,829. AFAD reported that during the period of 14-16 March 2014, a total of 1,657 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps and 901 Syrians have voluntarily returned to Syria.

● The registration of non-camp Syrians is on-going in several locations in the southeast. As of end of week (14 March 2014), local officials in Gaziantep informed UNHCR that within , 132,676 Malatya Beydagi Syrians were registered in Gaziantep province and Nizip town. In Nizip the officials informed UNHCR that 7,215 despite increasing their registration staff and workstations, and registering about 80 persons per day, they still have about 2,500 people who were given appointments, in addition to more than 19,000 they registered in Nizip town. The officials stated that the earliest appointment they can give is end of April 2014. It was also reported by the officials that the technical infrastructure (data line etc.) for the mobile coordination center is K.Maras ready and they are expecting the vehicle to arrive in the coming days.
