Scope Note This collection contains letters in response to an article in the St. Petersburg Times in the Summer of 1995 asking for individuals to share their memories of the end of World War II. There are 334 letters in the collection, and they cover many different aspects of the end of the war, including: celebrations around the world, childhood memories, personal narratives of involvement in the war, and recollections regarding the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
