Dibimbing Oleh Kaharuddin sebagai pembimbing I Dan Hadisaputra sebagai pembimbing II. Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang makna simbolik pusaka tua jenis badik di museum la galigo-benteng rotterdam kota makassar. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna simbolik pada pusaka tua jenis badik dan fungsi sosial pada pusaka tua jenis badik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Fenomenologi dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui data yaitu data primer dan data sekunder, data primer dengan observasi dan wawancaradan data sekunder dengan pengumpulan dari jurnal, skripsi, buku dan lain-lain. Dengan menggunakan teori interaksionalisme simbolik dan nilai- nilai budaya sebagai suatu pisau analisis untuk mendapatkan data yang lebih akurat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) badik merupakan suatu benda pusaka tradisional yang memiliki bentuk dan makna yang berbeda-beda dari berbagai daerah. Makna umum yang dimiliki pada ketiga jenis badik ini yaitu badik lompo Battang berasal dari daerah Makassar yang memiliki bentuk seperti perut buncit, badik Gecong dari Bugis yang memiliki bentuk leher yang agak kecil dab badik Luwu (Lu’) yang memiliki bentuk bilah yang lurus yang mulai dari leher hingga keujung yang runcingnya dan memiliki makna simbolik badik dalam kedewasaan, makna simbolik dalam penanda garis keturunan, makna dan makna simbolik sebagai status dan makna simbolik sebagai aksesoris pelengkap busana. Makna khusus yang dimiliki ketiga jenis badik tersebut yaitu badik Lompo Battang memiliki makna yang dapat mengajarkan manusia untuk selalu mencari jalan yang terbaik disaat dalam keadaan yang sesat, badik Gecong memiliki makna yaitu untuk jangan terlalu banyak bicara apabila tidak terlalu penting dan badik Luwu (Lu’) memiliki makna sebagai memperlancar lamaran. Ketiga jeniis badik ini juga memiliki makna motif pamor yaitu, motif tebba jampu, motif ma’daung ase, motif sikado’ dan motif mata tedong dan Kaum laki-laki dapat dikatakan ideal apabila telah memiliki benda pusaka yang berjenis badik. (2) ketiga jenis badik tersebut juga memiliki fungsi sosial yaitu badik berfungsi sebagai pelindung diri yang artinya dapat melindungi diri dari berbagai bahaya, badik sberfungsi sebagai identitas budaya artinya bahwa orang-0rang dapat mengetahui sang pemilik badik tersebut berasal dari mana dengan hanya melihat badik tersebut dan badik berfungsi sebagai karya seni karena terbuat dari tangan manusia yang biasanya dibuat oleh pandai besi dengan menggunakan alat-alat tradisional dan memiliki nilai seni yang tersendiri. This essay is about the symbolic significance of the ancient ienis badik at the museum La Galigo- Rotterdam city of Makassar. This thesis is intended for knowing the symbolic significance of the old tribal heritage and the social function of the old tribal heritage. The method of research included in this study is qualitative research with a phenomenological data collection method through data that is primary data and secondary data, primary data with data observation and interage and secondary data with the collection of jumals, scriptions, books dan others using symbolick interakationalism and cultural hilarity as an analysis knife to get more accurate data. The result of this study is (1) that the badik is a traditional heirloom that contains vang shapes and meaning from different areas. A common sense of these three types of badik is that the Lompo Battang river comes from the area of Makassar that has a distended form, the more Gecong of Bugis have a rather small neckline line Luwu (Lu’) having a straight blade shape running from the neck to the very end and having a symbolic badik meaning in manhood of the symbolic significance of the lineage, symbolic meaning and significance of status and symbolic significance asa fashion complement. The special meaning of the three types of badik is that badik Lompo Battang has a meaning that can teach humans always to seek ways best that when under bad circumstances, I feel I have a sense that is not talk too much when it is not too omportant and to badik Luwu (Lu’) has the meaning of providing a marriage proposal. These three badik’s sayings also have the ultimate motive, the powerful ones, moft ma’daung ase, the tongs’ and the tedong eyes and men have a sayingi ideal for a baited heritage. (2) the three kinds it also has the social function of a demon that can protect it self from harm, badik swarks asa cultural identity means that people can identify the owner of art because it is made of human hands, usually made by a blacksmith using traditional tools and had a unique art value. Oleh karena itu, satu- satunya jalan yang dapat ditempuh adalah dengan melakukan gerakan sosial sebagai bentuk proses sosial.1 Gerakan sosial yang menjadi fenomena dari gejolak politik tingkat lokal sejak akhir abad ke-19 pun terjadi di Sumedang. Around Australia Aboriginal artists have produced a unique record of their experiences of contact since the earliest encounters with South­east Asian and, later, European visitors and settlers. This rock art archive provides irreplaceable contemporary accounts of Aboriginal attitudes towards, and engagement with, foreigners on their shores. Since 2008 our team has been working to document contact period rock art in north­western and western Arnhem Land. This paper focuses on findings from a site complex known as Malarrak. It includes the most thorough analysis of contact rock art yet undertaken in this area and ques­ tions previous interpretations of subject matter and the relationship of particular paintings to historic events. Contact period rock art from Malarrak presents us with an illustrated history of international relationships in this isolated part of the world. It not only reflects the material changes brought about by outside cultural groups but also highlights the active role Aboriginal communities took in respond­ ing to these circumstances. The result of this research is that the value of self-confidence in Pencak Silat activities is the value obtained by children from training or Pencak silat activities and then retrained through the experience of the championships that have been followed The use-value contained in the Cingkrik Pencak Silat activity can be used as learning to instill confidence in elementary school students. One of them is traditional clothes which have undergone a shift due to technological advances. This study aims to understand the process of the shifting meaning of traditional clothes to the people of Bone Regency with specific purposes, namely the form of shifting meaning of traditional clothes to the people of Bone Regency. This research location is in the Tanete Riattang Sub district Bone Regency with the data source is the Family of Royal Bone Regency, cultural observer, community leaders and the people of Bone Regency. The data collection techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion and verifying. The result of the study found that the form of the shifting meaning of traditional clothes in the people of Bone Regency can be seen from its symbol, time of use, and the sacred value of traditional clothes.
