TRAVERSATA TAMARO – LEMA Descrizione Una gita spettacolare è sicuramente la traversata “Tamaro – Lema”, che per la sua particolare bel- lezza e il suo panorama mozzafiato è stata premiata in Germania con “l’Oscar dell’escursionismo”. Dalle cime di questa escursione si scorgono infatti sia il Lago Maggiore che il Lago di Lugano: il paesaggio ticinese in tutta la sua bellezza. Itinerario Punto di partenza è Rivera (o Miglieglia se si vuole fare il giro opposto), dove si prende la cabinovia per l'Alpe Foppa (1530 m). Dall'alpe si sale verso il Monte Tamaro, da cui si gode una magnifica vi- sta sulla regione circostante, e si prosegue scendendo dal ripido versante sud per la Bassa di In- demini. Si attraversa poi la sella della Bassa di Montoia. Dopo un breve tratto pianeggiante i meno allenati potranno evitare la salita del Gradiccioli svoltando a destra, per ritrovarsi poi sul fianco ovest della montagna. Tra una discesa, una risalita (Monte Pola 1741 m) ed infine un'altra discesa il sentiero raggiunge l'Alpe Agario. Dopo aver doppiato il Monte Magno si giunge al Poncione di Breno. Chi volesse evitare di percorrere l'impegnativa cima, può imboccare il comodo sentiero sul- la destra, che porta fino alla Forcora d'Arasio e quindi proseguire arrivando finalmente alla meta: il Monte Lema, di cui si scorge da lontano la croce eretta nel 1934. Un servizio navetta vi riporta alla vostra meta in entrambe le direzioni, a Rivera o a Miglieglia. La traversata è accessibile da maggio a ottobre. Difficoltà Il percorso è piuttosto impegnativo per cui è consigliato avere un po’ di allenamento. -
