Today, the smartphone is the dominant medium. Together with YouTube, it has taken over the TV media. In this context, the role of journalism is central. It serves as a bulwark against fake news and has a strategic part to play in complex and hyperconnected societies. For this very reason, restarting from a journalism entrusted to professionals is so urgent.

19:00-20:30, Grand Hotel Quisisana, Theatre RAI 3 presents “The Ten Commandments” by Domenico Iannacone “Like My Children”

“Like My Children” is the story of a school at Parco Verde, in Caivano on the outskirts of Naples. A place where the presence of law and order is completely missing and the word “rights” echoes like an empty vessel. It is one of Europe’s major drug dealing “piazzas”. Prostitution, squalor, sexual abuse are the order of the day. In a place where school dropout figures are the highest in Italy, school represents the sole bulwark of legality and the sole door leading towards a future. Eugenia Carfora, the headmistress of the Morani Institute, together with a group of teachers, symbolises a school, which is firmly standing its ground, with no intention of giving in and letting its children die. Heroism from those who considers teaching to be one of society’s highest values, from those who considers each child to be their own.

In the second season, the Police Station at Pizzofalcone is now in every practical sense in full operation and nobody will in truth try and close it. “The Bastards” have shown themselves to be a good team and success pays. In their private lives, our main characters are still “tormented souls”, afflicted by a melancholy, the nostalgic side of joy, consumed in the shadow of Vesuvius.

From one episode to another, viewers are glued to the sets with a very strong common thread running through each police case: investigating family troubles and parent-children relationship.

21:00-23:00, Grand Hotel Quisisana, Theatre Light Dinner Rai 5 presents the “ONJGT National Youth Talent Jazz Orchestra” conducted by Paolo Damiani

Eleven young talents, aged under 35, under the expert guidance of the Great Musician Paolo Damiani. Bringing all their virtuosity to bear, they present an original repertoire juggling with the word “obscene”, that is “ob skené”, “off scene” in the sense of institution, academy, stage routine, almost something “inappropriate”, although even more provocative.
