Chapter 91 Waterways License Application Number W19-5439 Applicant: City of Boston, One City Hall Plaza, Room 710 Project Location: Between Long Island Road at the southwest end of Long Island and Moon Island Road at the east end of Moon Island in the City of Boston and City of Quincy Scheduled Public Hearing: Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Public Comments Deadline: May 27, 2019 SECOND NOTIFICATION DATE: April 24, 2019 Public notice is hereby given of the Waterways application by the City of Boston for Authorization of Existing Substructure and Improvements thereto and Superstructure Replacement of the Long Island Bridge between Long Island Road at the southwest end of Long Island and Moon Island Road at the east end of Moon Island in the municipalities of Boston and Quincy in and over Flowed Tidelands of the Boston Harbor. The proposed project has been determined to be a water-dependent infrastructure crossing facility. The Department of Environmental Protection, Waterways Regulation Program, will conduct a public hearing on the aforesaid project proposal on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Kennedy Center, Quincy Council on Aging facility at 440 East Squantum Street, Quincy. The Department will conduct this public hearing in order to receive information to be used in its decision on whether to grant a Waterways License pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 91. The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received by May 27, 2019 (Public Comments Deadline). Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c). The group of citizens must include no less than five citizens who are residents of the municipality in which the proposed project is located.
