Parks, Preserves & Greenways SPECIAL EVENT FACILITIES

The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department operates two major special event facilities, the Grady Cole Center and American Legion Memorial Stadium which Americans with Disabilities are located adjacent to each other at 310 N. American Legion Memorial Stadium is a 20,000 seat outdoor sports/entertainment facility which over the past 75 years has hosted many of the County’s highest profile events. The facility is able to handle a wide arrange of sport and leisure activities, such as outdoor concerts, festivals, college/high school football, marching band competitions, international soccer matches and lacrosse.
