Antarctic Stations Occupied During 1973 It would appear that any map showing Antarctic bases currently occupied and in operation is soon outdated. This is so since the scale of Antarctic research generally is being increased and therefore new stations are being built though, admittedly, some stations have also been abandoned. For this reason the Association is including in this Bulletin a map a nd li st of stations operational during I 973. (Reprinted from SCAR Bulletin, No. 45, September, 1973).
