• The ShopRite LPGA Classic partnered with Kind Quilts with the goal of delivering quilts to local Atlantic City children in need. • The Tournament reached out to their 700+ volunteer base to recruit the quilters needed to make the quilts (email blast in next slide). • Kind Quilts then delivered the quilt kits to the Tournament office to disperse to the volunteers that offered to help. • The volunteers returned the quilts to the Tournament office and during Tournament week, staff and LPGA Player, Monifa Sealy, delivered the quilts to the kids enrolled in the Family Services Assoc. of Absecon after school program. Volunteer Email Blast

Dear Volunteer, I’m proud to announce the ShopRite LPGA Classic is partnering with Kind Quilts, a non-profit charity organization that facilitates the production and distribution of quilts to children in need.

Kind Quilts prepares kits with the necessary materials to make a blanket and sends them out to volunteers to put them together. Once received, volunteers create the quilt by sewing together patches and other materials. Blankets are then sent back for distribution to ill or impoverished youth. For more information visit www.kindquilts.org.

Sign up to sew a quilt by replying to this email with the quilter's name, email, and mailing address! If you are not a quilter or master sewer, please feel free to forward this email to your spouse, sibling, relative or friend to help out with this great cause. We will be sending out Kind Quilts sewing kits in the next few weeks for assembly. Once your quilt is complete, either send it back to us or drop it off at the Tournament Office/ Volunteer Kick-off Party. All quilts produced from our group will be donated to in-need children in the Galloway/ Atlantic City area.

Patches for the quilts that we donate will follow the golf/ ShopRite theme. Either having pictures of things like golf balls or food (e.g. ice cream cones). With enough support, during the tournament a LPGA player will travel with our set of quilts to a local youth group or organization to deliver them. Please see pictures of the kit and finished quilt below.
